Because he loved your ancestors and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by his Presence and his great strength,

He loved your people of long ago. He chose their children after them. So he brought you out of Egypt. He used his great strength to do it.

To him that smote Egypt in their first- born; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;And brought out Israel from among them; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;With a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:To him that divided the Red Sea in sunder; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;And made Israel to pass through the midst of it; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever;But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea; For his lovingkindness endureth for ever:

When Israel went forth out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language;Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his dominion.The sea saw it, and fled; The Jordan was driven back.The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou fleest? Thou Jordan, that thou turnest back?Ye mountains, that ye skip like rams; Ye little hills, like lambs?

The eyes of Jehovah are toward the righteous, And his ears are open unto their cry.

I have loved you, saith Jehovah. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? saith Jehovah: yet I loved Jacob;

Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thy heart, dost thou go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Jehovah thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may establish the word which Jehovah sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will counsel thee with mine eye upon thee.

whose are the fathers, and of whom is Christ as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.

O ye seed of Abraham his servant, Ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.He is Jehovah our God: His judgments are in all the earth.He hath remembered his covenant for ever, The word which he commanded to a thousand generations,The covenant which he made with Abraham, And his oath unto Isaac,And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel for an everlasting covenant,

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by an outstretched arm, and by great terrors, according to all that Jehovah your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

For the eyes of Jehovah run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly; for from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

At that time, saith Jehovah, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people.

To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant;The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father,

Jehovah did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all peoples:but because Jehovah loveth you, and because he would keep the oath which he sware unto your fathers, hath Jehovah brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.Know therefore that Jehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful God, who keepeth covenant and lovingkindness with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations,

But thou, Israel, my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend,thou whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth, and called from the corners thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant, I have chosen thee and not cast thee away;
