先知曰、主可尋得、爾當求之、主離不遠、爾當籲之、惡人當離其途、不義者當屏除其謀、其謀或作私念歸誠於主、主必矜恤之、當歸誠於我天主、蓋天主廣行赦宥、

急難時、歸向主以色列之天主、尋求之、為其所得、

爾呼籲我、往祈禱我、我必俯聞、倘爾尋覓我、盡心訪求我、則必得遇我、主曰、我必使爾得遇我、主曰、我必返爾俘囚、自我所驅爾至之各國各地、必聚集爾、我使爾被擄、遠離爾地、亦必使爾旋返、仍歸故土、

守主法度、一心尋求主者、此等人便為有福、

爾往北方、宣告此言曰、主云背叛之以色列歸哉、我不復向爾震奴、蓋我以矜憫為懷、不常含忿、此乃主所言、惟當自認罪愆、蓋爾違逆主爾之天主、奔馳歧途、在各茂樹下、崇拜他神、不聽我命、此乃主所言、主曰、爾曹忤逆之子、歸誠歟、因我乃爾之王、我必收爾歸我、自邑中一人、自族中二人、導至郇城、

爾若聽從主爾天主之言、守此律法書所載主之誡命律例、盡心盡意歸主爾之天主、則有如此、

我一心尋求主、願主使我不違背主之誡命、

如在被擄之地、問心悔罪、在擄之者地祈主曰、我儕犯罪、我儕違逆、我儕作惡、如在擄之之敵國、盡心盡意歸主、向其故土、即主所賜其列祖之地、與主所選之邑、及我為主名所建之殿、禱告於主、

我所陳於爾前之福與禍、既降於爾、主爾之天主驅逐爾散於列邦、爾在彼中心追維此事、與子孫盡心盡意歸主爾之天主、遵從其言、循我今日所諭爾者、則主爾之天主將矜恤爾、返爾俘囚、主爾之天主散爾於列邦、必由彼聚爾返、

以色列妹悖逆之猶大、行此事後、仍不誠心歸我、佯為歸我、此乃主所言、

王立於臺上、在主前立約、必盡心盡意順從主、守主之誡命、法度、律例、以成此書所載之約言、民眾樂從此約、

爾中所遺之人、居於敵國、必緣己罪、及其列祖之罪、日漸消亡、彼時必認己之罪、及其列祖之罪、即干我逆我以行之罪、我依其逆行、散之於敵國、後若其剛愎之心、剛愎之心或作不淨之心自卑以服罪、則我必追憶與雅各所立之約、亦追憶與以撒亞伯拉罕所立之約、而俯念斯地、

主曰、今爾當一心歸誠於我、禁食號哭悲哀、

立約必盡心盡意、尋求主其列祖之天主、

猶大人緣此事甚喜、皆盡心立誓、盡意求主、而主為其所得、主使之四周平康、

我一心呼籲、求主應允、我必遵守主之典章、

耶戶不盡心遵守主以色列天主之律法、昔耶羅波安犯罪、使以色列人陷於罪、耶戶不離其罪、

凡其所行、或理人供役事於天主之殿、或遵律法、守誡命、以尋求其天主、皆一心行之、無不亨通、

我一心祈求主、願主向我施恩、以踐前言、
