永恆主的話傳與我說：『人子啊，你要板着臉向耶路撒冷，滴下話語攻擊它的聖殿和殿院周圍，傳神言攻擊以色列地，對以色列地說：永恆主這麼說：看吧！我跟你為敵；我要拔刀出鞘，將義人和惡人都從你那裏剪除掉。我既要將義人和惡人都從你那裏剪除掉，那麼我的刀就要出鞘，將南地到北方去攻擊血肉之人；血肉之人就知道是我永恆主已拔刀出鞘；刀必不再回鞘。故此人子啊，你要歎息，在他們眼前腰骨折地歎息，苦苦地歎息。若有人問你說：「你為甚麼歎息？」你要說：「因為有風聲說有事情要臨到，人就都膽戰心驚，手都發軟，精神都衰頹，膝蓋都柔弱如水。看吧，快臨到了！那是必定發生的」』：主永恆主發神諭說。永恆主的話傳與我說：『人子啊，你要傳神言說：主這麼說：你要說：有刀，有刀，又磨快，又擦亮；磨快是要大行屠殺，擦亮是要它像閃電！我們哪裏可歡樂呢？我的兒子啊，有根權柄之杖藐視所有的樹呢！這刀已交給人擦亮，以便應手揮動；這刀已磨快，這刀已擦亮，好交在行殺戮者手中。人子啊，你要呼喊哀號；因為這刀是擊打我人民的，這是擊打以色列眾首領的：他們跟我人民都被拋擲於刀下；因此你要拍腿悲歎。因為有試驗在進行着：「假使連那藐視一切的權柄之杖也歸於無有，那就怎麼樣呢？」』主永恆主發神諭問說。『因此人子啊，你要傳神言；拍掌講話：要再次再三地使這刀，就是刺人致死的刀，刺死大人物的刀，就是在他們四圍的，好使他們都膽戰心驚，許多人在他們各城裏都跌傷了。我已經把殺戮刀發出了；啊哈！這刀造得像閃電；磨得亮亮、以便屠殺。刀啊，轉向後邊，右邊，前邊，左邊吧！你面指向哪一方，就向哪一方行殺戮吧！我，我也要拍掌講話，並且平息我的烈怒：我永恆主說了。』永恆主的話又傳與我說：『人子啊，你要為自己立兩條路，好使巴比倫王的刀劍前來；這兩條路都要從一個地分出。你要在路頭、通城的路頭、立一根手指路的牌。你要立一條路，使刀劍來攻擊亞捫人的拉巴，攻擊猶大和猶大中的耶路撒冷。
