Then the Lord spoke to you out of the fire. You heard the sound of words but saw no form; there was only a voice.

山上火中、耶和華與爾晤對而言、

以上諸言、耶和華山上火中、幽深玄遠之處、以大聲諭眾、無所增益、勒於二碑、賜之於我。

在天有聲、使爾聞之、以指示爾、在地出大火、使爾見之、爾由火中聽其言詞。

昔在何烈山、耶和華由火中諭汝、未睹其像、故當謹恪、

厥後有火、耶和華亦不與火偕來、火後有聲、細而不揚。以利亞聞之、以衣蒙面而出、立於穴口、有聲謂之曰、以利亞在此何為、

蓋父上帝、錫以尊榮、明明在上、諭曰此我愛子、我所喜悅、其聲自天、即吾儕從耶穌陟聖山時聞之、

野有聲呼云、在彼曠野、備我上帝耶和華之道、直其徑。

有聲告我曰、爾當號呼、我曰、呼當若何、曰、庶民惟草、其榮如花、

此人乃先知以賽亞所指者、曰、野有聲呼云、備主道、直其徑、

爾曹以何物比儗上帝、以何像像之、

耶和華諭摩西、使宣言以色列族、曰、爾觀我由天與爾言。

自天有聲云、此我愛子、吾所喜悅者也、

爾或偏於左、偏於右、聲從後至、聞於耳畔曰、此其道也、爾當遵循、

父乎、願爾顯名、自天有聲云、我既顯之、必再顯之、傍立聞者曰、此雷聲也、有曰、天使與之言、耶穌曰、此聲非為我、乃為爾曹、

使覿我面、與之晤言、明以相告、毋庸隱喻、爾曹非之、曷不懼乎。

彼象無形之上帝、生於萬物先、

言時、景雲蓋之、雲間有聲云、此我愛子、我所喜悅者、宜聽之、
