In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh.”

His glory is like the glory of a bull born first to its mother. His horns are like the horns of a wild ox. He will use them to destroy the nations. He’ll wipe out the nations that are very far away. The ten thousands of men in Ephraim’s army are like the bull and the ox. So are the thousands in the army of Manasseh.”

A firstborn bull— he has majesty, and his horns are the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall gore the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

Joseph has the majesty of a young bull; he has the horns of a wild ox. He will gore distant nations, even to the ends of the earth. This is my blessing for the multitudes of Ephraim and the thousands of Manasseh.”

以色列的長子原是呂便，但因為他玷污了父親的床，他長子的名分就給了他弟弟約瑟的後代。因此，按家譜他不是長子。

你使我強壯如野牛，你用新油澆灌我。

他父親卻不同意，說：「我兒啊，我知道，我知道。他必發展成一個強大的民族，但他弟弟將比他更強大，他弟弟的後裔必成為多個民族。」

耶和華說：「以法蓮啊，我該怎樣待你呢？猶大啊，我該怎樣待你呢？你們對我的愛像晨霧，如轉瞬即逝的朝露。

他們像野牛、牛犢和公牛一樣倒下。他們的土地被血浸透，土壤被脂肪覆蓋。

求你救我脫離獅子的口，使我脫離野牛的角。

這些是瑪拿西各宗族，共登記了五萬二千七百人。

使黎巴嫩山跳躍如小牛，西連山跳躍如野牛。

每當我要醫治以色列的時候，卻看見以法蓮的罪，撒瑪利亞的惡。他們行事詭詐；盜賊進屋偷竊，強盜外出搶劫。

基拿拿的兒子西底迦造了兩隻鐵角，說：「耶和華這樣說，『你必用這鐵角牴亞蘭人，直到毀滅他們。』」

以法蓮做了妓女，我一清二楚；以色列玷污了自己，也瞞不過我。」

「野牛豈肯為你效勞，在你的槽旁過夜？你豈能用韁繩把野牛牽到犁溝？牠豈肯跟著你在山谷耕地？

這些是以法蓮各宗族，共登記了三萬二千五百人，都是約瑟的子孫。
