『這位摩西、族民所棄絕而對他說：「誰設立你做官長和審判員」的，這一位、上帝卻藉那在刺叢中向他顯現的天使的手、差遣了，做執政者做釋放者。

永恆主的使者從刺叢中火燄裏向他顯現。摩西一看，只見刺叢在火中燒着，而刺叢竟沒有被燒燬！摩西說：『我要過去，看這大異象，為甚麼這刺叢沒有燒掉。』永恆主見摩西過來要看，上帝從刺叢中呼叫他說：『摩西，摩西』；摩西說：『我在這裏呢。』

地和充滿於地上的、世界和住於世間的、都屬於永恆主。

關於死人活起來的事、摩西書中《刺叢》篇上、上帝怎樣對他說：「我是亞伯拉罕的上帝、以撒的上帝、雅各的上帝」、你們沒有誦讀過麼？

人就為約瑟單擺了一席，為他們單擺了一席，也為和約瑟一同喫飯的埃及人單擺了一席，因為埃及人不能和希伯來人一同喫飯，因為那是埃及人所厭惡的。

『在至高地方、榮耀歸於上帝；地上和平、在他所喜悅的人中間。

天屬於你，地也屬於你；世界和世界所充滿的都是你奠定的。

假使有人對你們說：『這是獻過祭的東西』，那麼為了那指點的人、並為着良知的緣故、你就別喫了：

『從但那裏聽到敵人的馬的噴鼻氣，他們雄壯的馬的嘶鳴聲，全國盡都震動；因為他們來吞滅這地、和境內所有的，吞滅這城和其中的居民。

你們要趕快上我父親那裏，對他說：「你兒子約瑟這樣說：上帝使我做全埃及的主；請你下到我這裏來；不要躭擱。你可以住在歌珊地，和我相近：你和你兒子，你孫子，你的羊羣、牛羣、和你一切所有的都可以住在那裏。我要在那裏供養你，因為還有五年的饑荒，免得你和你的眷屬、以及你一切所有的都敗落。」

這樣的大祭司、虔聖、無邪、無染污、隔離罪人、高過諸天、正合乎我們所需要的。

有些作生意的米甸人從那裏經過，哥哥們把約瑟從坑裏拉上來，把約瑟賣給以實瑪利人，賣二十錠銀子；以實瑪利人就把約瑟帶到埃及去了。

就使我餓了，我也不用告訴你；因為世界和其中所充滿的、都是我的。

故此、為要使我不至於因這些啓示之高超性而過於高抬自己，便有一種刺痛給了我、在肉身上、就是撒但的使者、來折磨我，免得我過於高抬自己。為了這事、我曾三次求過主、叫這刺痛離開我。他對我說：『我的恩是夠你用的；因為能力是在軟弱上才顯得完全的。』所以我頂喜歡、寧可拿種種軟弱來誇口，好讓基督的能力來住在我身上。故此我為基督的緣故、就以種種的軟弱、凌辱、艱難、逼迫和困迫、為可喜悅；因為我甚麼時候軟弱，我甚麼時候就有能力而剛強。

但永恆主和約瑟同在，約瑟就成了一個凡事順利的人，在他主人埃及人家中作事。他主人見永恆主和他同在，見永恆主叫他所作的在他手裏盡都順利，

你父親所祝的福大有能力，勝過遠古之山，所施的福、和永遠之岡陵可愛之物：願這些福降到約瑟頭上，到那在弟兄中做王子者的頭頂上。

『過了四十年、在西乃山的野地、有一位天使在刺叢的火燄中向摩西顯現。摩西見了那異象，覺得希奇。正上前察看的時候、有主的聲音說：「我就是你列祖的上帝，亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的上帝。」摩西戰戰兢兢、不敢察看。主對他說：「把你腳上的鞋脫下來；因為你所站的地方是聖地。

因為『地和滿地所有的都屬於主』。

米甸人把約瑟賣到埃及，賣給法老的內臣、護衛長波提乏。
