關於死人復活的事，摩西的經卷中荊棘篇上，神怎樣對他說：‘我是亞伯拉罕的神，以撒的神，雅各的神’，你們沒有念過嗎？

他們就給約瑟單獨擺了一席，給那些人另外擺了一席，又給那些與約瑟一同吃飯的埃及人擺了一席，因為埃及人不能與希伯來人一同吃飯，這是埃及人所厭惡的。

“在至高之處，榮耀歸與神！在地上，平安歸與他所喜悅的人！”

天是你的，地也是你的；世界和世界充滿的，都是你建立的。

但是如果有人告訴你們：“這是獻過祭的食物。”那麼，為了那告訴你們的人，也為了良心的緣故，就不要吃。

從但那裡聽見敵人戰馬的噴氣聲，全地因聽見壯馬的嘶鳴聲震動。他們來是要吞滅土地和地上所有的，要吞滅城和城中的居民。

你們要趕快上到我父親那裡去，對他說：‘你的兒子約瑟這樣說：神立我作了全埃及的主；請你下到我這裡來，不要耽延。你和你的眾兒孫、牛羊，以及你一切所有的，都可以住在歌珊地，與我相近。我要在那裡供養你，因為還有五年的饑荒，免得你和你的家人，以及你一切所有的，都陷入窮困裡。’

這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。

有些米甸的商人經過那裡，約瑟的哥哥們就把約瑟從枯井裡拉上來，以二十塊銀子把他賣給以實瑪利人。以實瑪利人就把約瑟帶到埃及去了。

如果我餓了，我也不用對你說；因為世界和其中所充滿的，都是我的。

又因為我所得的啟示太大，恐怕會高抬自己，所以就有一根刺加在我的身上，就是撒但的差役來攻擊我，免得我高抬自己。為了這事，我曾經三次求主，使這根刺離開我。他卻對我說：“我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的能力在人的軟弱上顯得完全。”所以，我更喜歡誇自己的軟弱，好讓基督的能力臨到我的身上。因此，我為基督的緣故，就以軟弱、凌辱、艱難、迫害、困苦為喜樂，因為我甚麼時候軟弱，甚麼時候就剛強了。

耶和華與約瑟同在，約瑟就事事順利，住在他主人埃及人的家裡。他的主人見耶和華與他同在，又見耶和華使他手裡所作的盡都順利，

你父親的祝福，勝過我祖先的祝福﹙“勝過我祖先的祝福”有古譯本作“勝過亙古的山岡”﹚，勝過永遠山嶺上的美物。願這些福都降在約瑟的頭上，降在兄弟中作王子的那一位頭上。

“過了四十年，在西奈山的曠野，有一位使者，在荊棘中的火燄裡，向摩西顯現。他見了這個異象，十分驚奇；他正上前察看的時候，就有主的聲音說：‘我是你祖宗的神，就是亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的神。’摩西戰戰兢兢，不敢觀看。主對他說：‘把你腳上的鞋脫掉，因為你所站的地方是聖地。

因為地和地上所充滿的都是屬於主的。

米甸人後來把約瑟賣到埃及去，賣給法老的一個臣宰，軍長波提乏。
