I will send wasting famine against them, consuming pestilence and deadly plague; I will send against them the fangs of wild beasts, the venom of vipers that glide in the dust.

I will send them hunger. It will make them weak. I will send terrible sickness. I will send deadly plagues. I will send wild animals that will tear them apart. Snakes that glide through the dust will bite them.

等待你的是勇士的利箭和炙熱的炭火。

我們因饑餓而發熱，皮膚熱如烤爐。

或黑暗中橫行的瘟疫，或正午肆虐的災難。

『他們必死於惡疾，無人哀悼，無人埋葬，他們好像地上的糞便。他們必死於戰爭和饑荒，屍首必成為飛鳥和走獸的食物。』」

即使他們藏在迦密山的峰頂，我也要去搜尋，捉住他們；即使他們潛到海底，我也要派海蛇去吞咬他們；

「主耶和華說，『我要把戰禍、饑荒、猛獸和瘟疫這四大刑罰降在耶路撒冷，毀滅人和牲畜。

豺狼和綿羊必一起吃草，獅子必像牛一樣吃草，蛇必以塵土為食。在我的整個聖山上，牠們都不傷人，不害物。這是耶和華說的。」

瘟疫行在祂前面，災病跟在祂腳後。

他見那地方好作安身之處，地土肥美，就垂下肩頭，做了奴隸。

從祂面前的榮光中，冰雹和火炭衝破雲層。耶和華在天上打雷，至高者發出的聲音響徹在冰雹和火炭中。祂射出利箭驅散仇敵，發出閃電擊潰他們。

盼望耶和華的日子到來的人有禍了！你們為什麼盼望耶和華的日子呢？那日將帶來黑暗，而非光明。你們的光景將好像人逃避獅子，卻遇上了熊，逃回家裡，手扶牆壁，又被蛇咬。

耶和華上帝對蛇說：「你既然做了這事，你要比一切的牲畜和野獸受更重的咒詛，你要用肚子爬行，一生都要吃塵土。

「當你們被敵人圍困、陷入絕境時，你們必吃自己的親生骨肉——你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們的兒女。

嬰兒乾渴難忍，舌頭緊貼上膛；孩童乞求食物，卻無人給予。昔日錦衣玉食、生活奢侈的，如今卻流落街頭，躺臥在糞堆中。雖然無人攻擊，所多瑪卻在頃刻之間傾覆。我子民比所多瑪受到的懲罰更重。錫安的首領曾比雪純淨，比奶更白，身體比紅寶石更紅潤，相貌美如藍寶石。現在，他們的面目比煤炭還黑，走在街上無人認得。他們骨瘦如柴，乾如枯木。死於刀下的勝過死於饑餓的，後者因田間缺糧而活活餓死。

「祂要使你們遭受癆病、熱症、瘧疾、炙熱、刀劍、乾旱和黴爛之災，直到你們滅亡。
