當日摩西作此歌誨以色列族、命嫩之子約書亞曰、強乃志、壯乃心、蓋爾必導以色列族、入耶和華所誓之地、彼必佑爾。○摩西以律法之言、錄之於書、既畢其事、則告舁耶和華法匱之利未人曰、以此律法之書、置於爾上帝耶和華法匱之旁、以為證。

先生、摩西筆以示我云、若人兄弟死、遺妻而無子、兄弟當娶其妻、生子以嗣之、

昔在何烈、我以禮儀法度、賜於我僕摩西、播傳於以色列族、爾當銘記、

摩西遵耶和華命、書遄征之程、臚列於左、

爾信摩西、必信我、蓋其書指我、

維彼祭司、宜有智慧、既為萬有之主耶和華所遣、人當就彼、諮諏法度、

例授自摩西、恩寵真理、則由耶穌基督、

腓力遇拿但業曰、摩西例所載、諸先知所記者、我已遇之、即拿撒勒人約瑟子耶穌也、

大闢曰、耶和華簡利未人、舁上帝匱、供其役事、歷代勿替、自是舁匱、必以利未人。

民不知道、以至滅亡、惟爾祭司、厭棄真理、故我棄爾、不為祭司、爾既忘我法度、我不佑爾後人、

爾支派之長老、爰及族長、使其咸集、以言相告、俾爾聽聞、亦指天地為證。

曰、摩西許以離書出之、耶穌曰、摩西以爾心忍、故有斯命、

告之曰、爾曹為利未族之最著者、爾與同宗當潔己、舁以色列上帝耶和華之匱、至我預備之所。爾初行此、不循常例、故上帝耶和華譴責我儕。祭司及利未人潔清其體、欲舁以色列族上帝耶和華之匱。上帝之匱、利未人扛貫、而肩負之、循耶和華所諭摩西之命。
