Then David said to his son Solomon,“ Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He won’t leave you or abandon you until all the work for the service of the LORD’s house is finished.

Don’t be afraid, little flock, because your Father delights to give you the kingdom.

Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Wait for the LORD.

You, therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— whom should I dread?

do not be afraid of them. Be sure to remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and all Egypt:

“ So I said to you: Don’t be terrified or afraid of them!

Then you will succeed if you carefully follow the statutes and ordinances the LORD commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or discouraged.

Now this is what the LORD says— the one who created you, Jacob, and the one who formed you, Israel—“ Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are mine.When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and the rivers will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, and the flame will not burn you.For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and your Savior. I have given Egypt as a ransom for you, Cush and Seba in your place.Because you are precious in my sight and honored, and I love you, I will give people in exchange for you and nations instead of your life.Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west.

“ When you go out to war against your enemies and see horses, chariots, and an army larger than yours, do not be afraid of them, for the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you.

Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.

The LORD commissioned Joshua son of Nun,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will bring the Israelites into the land I swore to them, and I will be with you.”

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. I will be with you, just as I was with Moses. I will not leave you or abandon you.“ Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their ancestors to give them as an inheritance.Above all, be strong and very courageous to observe carefully the whole instruction my servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go.

I— I am the one who comforts you. Who are you that you should fear humans who die, or a son of man who is given up like grass?

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong.

Realize now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong, and do it.”

For I am the LORD your God, who holds your right hand, who says to you,“ Do not fear, I will help you.Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel. I will help you”— this is the LORD’s declaration. Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.See, I will make you into a sharp threshing board, new, with many teeth. You will thresh mountains and pulverize them and make hills into chaff.You will winnow them and a wind will carry them away, a whirlwind will scatter them. But you will rejoice in the LORD; you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.The poor and the needy seek water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. I will answer them. I am the LORD, the God of Israel. I will not abandon them.

Even so, be strong, Zerubbabel— this is the LORD’s declaration. Be strong, Joshua son of Jehozadak, high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land— this is the LORD’s declaration. Work! For I am with you— the declaration of the LORD of Armies.

He will not leave you, destroy you, or forget the covenant with your ancestors that he swore to them by oath, because the LORD your God is a compassionate God.

But the cowards, faithless, detestable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars— their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

He is to say to them,‘ Listen, Israel: Today you are about to engage in battle with your enemies. Do not be cowardly. Do not be afraid, alarmed, or terrified because of them.For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.’

As you have been a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will be a blessing. Don’t be afraid; let your hands be strong.”

Only don’t rebel against the LORD, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land, for we will devour them. Their protection has been removed from them, and the LORD is with us. Don’t be afraid of them!”

Moses then summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel,“ Be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land the LORD swore to give to their ancestors. You will enable them to take possession of it.

“ Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged before the king of Assyria or before the large army that is with him, for there are more with us than with him.
