The Lord your God himself will cross over ahead of you. He will destroy these nations before you, and you will take possession of their land. Joshua also will cross over ahead of you, as the Lord said.

The Lord your God himself will go across ahead of you. He’ll destroy the nations there in order to make room for you. You will take over their land. Joshua will also go across ahead of you, just as the Lord said he would.

所以今日你要知道，耶和华你的神要像烈火一样在你面前过去；他要消灭他们，他要在你面前把他们征服；这样你就可以照着耶和华吩咐你的，把他们赶走，使他们迅速灭亡。

你却要吩咐约书亚，坚固他，鼓励他，因为他要在这人民前面过河去，使他们承受你看见的这地。’

那一天耶和华使约书亚在以色列众人眼中成为尊大；在他一生的日子，人民敬畏他，好像敬畏摩西一样。

“我的仆人摩西死了；现在你要起来，和全体人民过这约旦河，到我现在要赐给他们以色列人的地去。

耶和华吩咐嫩的儿子约书亚，说：“你当坚强勇敢，因为你要领以色列人进我向他们起誓应许的地，我必与你同在。”

如果约书亚已经使他们享受了安息，神后来就不会再提到别的日子了。

你们不要倚靠权贵，不要倚靠世人，他们一点都不能救助你们。他们的气一断，就归回尘土；他们所计划的，当天就幻灭了。以雅各的神为自己的帮助，仰望耶和华他的神的，这人就是有福的。耶和华造天、地、海，和其中的万物；他持守信实，直到永远。

你曾亲手把列国赶出去，却栽培了我们的列祖；你曾苦待众民，却使我们的列祖昌盛。因为他们取得那地，不是靠自己的刀剑；他们得胜，也不是靠自己的膀臂；而是靠你的右手、你的膀臂和你脸上的光，因为你喜悦他们。

我们的祖先相继承受了这帐幕，神把外族人从他们面前赶走以后，他们就同约书亚把帐幕带进所得为业的地方，直到大卫的日子。

耶和华对摩西说：“你要拣选嫩的儿子约书亚，他心里有圣灵，你要按手在他头上，叫他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，当他们的面委派他。你要把你的尊荣给他几分，好叫以色列全体会众都听从他。他要站在以利亚撒祭司面前，以利亚撒要藉着乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问；他和以色列众人，就是全体会众，都要按着以利亚撒的命令出入。”

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，你的死期临近了；你要把约书亚召来，你们二人要站在会幕里，我好吩咐他。”于是摩西和约书亚前去，一同站在会幕里。

摩西把约书亚召了来，在以色列众人面前对他说：“你要坚强勇敢，因为你要和这人民一同进入耶和华向他们的列祖起誓，应许要赐给他们的地；你也要使他们得着那地为业。耶和华亲自在你前头行，与你同在；他决不撇下你，也不离弃你；你不要害怕，也不要惊慌。”

嫩的儿子约书亚，因为摩西曾经按手在他身上，就充满了智慧的灵；以色列人就听从他，照着耶和华吩咐摩西的去行了。

耶和华对约书亚说：“今天起，我要使你在以色列众人眼中成为尊大，这样他们就知道我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在。

以色列又对约瑟说：“看哪，我快要死了，但是神必与你们同在，必领你们回到你们祖先的土地去。
