When I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, the land I promised on oath to their ancestors, and when they eat their fill and thrive, they will turn to other gods and worship them, rejecting me and breaking my covenant.

主耶和華曰、我必折衷於肥羊瘠羊間、

斯民得食而飽、飽則心驕、而忘乎我、

彼體肥膚潤、作惡太甚、不為孤子伸冤、使之利達、不為貧者折中、

今我降臨、以拯之於埃及人手、導出其境、以至膏腴寬廣、流乳與蜜之地、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、

刧我業者歟、緣爾欣喜懽忭、放恣若踐穀之犢、嘶鳴若健馬、

必食而飽、因所賜之腴壤、頌美爾上帝耶和華、慎勿忘爾上帝耶和華、不守其誡命、律例典章、即我今日所諭爾者、恐爾飽食、華屋而居、牛羊蕃滋、金銀增益、所有之物、既豐且盛、心遂高傲、忘爾上帝耶和華、導爾出埃及、脫於奴隸之室、

彼在其國、受爾所錫之厚恩、居爾所賜廣大之沃土、猶不奉事爾、不悛其惡行、

彼心鈍如蒙脂、惟我悅爾律兮、

我已言之、必導爾出埃及之苦、至流乳與蜜之地、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、

耶書崙豐肥而奔踶、碩大而光澤、乃違離造之之上帝、藐視救之之磐石、崇事異族之神、以觸其忌、行作可憎之事、以激其怒、祭祀鬼魔、非是上帝、乃彼素所未識、新造初立之神、爾祖未嘗寅畏者、

迨爾上帝耶和華、導爾入所往據之地、驅逐諸族、即赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、此七族較爾強大、

耶和華諭摩西曰、爾與列祖偕眠、斯民必於所至之地、狥欲從異族之神、離棄我、背我與立之約、是日我必怒而棄之、掩面不顧、使被吞噬、多遭災禍、時彼必曰、此災臨我、豈非以我上帝不在我中乎、

迷亡者我必尋之、被驅者我必反之、傷者裹之、病者扶之、肥者強者、我必滅之、以公義牧之、

爾上帝耶和華導爾入腴壤、其地有溪、有泉有源、自陵與谷而出、

其心蔽塞、厥口矜誇、

彼體胖而目突、所得逾於心所望兮、
