爾之一切丁男、當一年三次、即除酵節、七七節、居廬節、至主爾天主所選之處、以覲主爾之天主、覲主之時、毋徒手而至、各隨其力、循主爾天主所賜之福、以獻禮物、○

蓋摩西律法、自古以來、各邑有宣之者、每安息日讀於會堂、○

次日民眾之族長、及祭司、利未人、咸集、見文士以斯拉、欲明律法書所言、

七月將至、以色列人已居故邑、民眾乃同心如一人、集於水門前之衢、請文士以斯拉攜摩西之律法書、即載主所命以色列人之律法者、七月朔日、祭司以斯拉攜律法書、至諸男女凡聽而能知之者會眾前、在水門前之衢、自朝至於日中、誦讀於諸男女凡能知之者前、誦讀於諸男女凡能知之者前或作誦讀於諸男女及能知之孩提前眾民側耳細聽律法之書、眾為此事特製木臺、文士以斯拉立於其上、瑪提提雅、示瑪、亞奈雅、烏利雅、希勒家、瑪西雅、立其右、毘大雅、米沙利、瑪基雅、哈順、哈拔大拿、撒迦利亞、米書蘭、立其左、以斯拉立於眾民之上、展書在眾民目前、既展書、眾民肅然而起、以斯拉頌讚主至大之天主、眾民舉手應聲曰、阿們、阿們、遂鞠躬俯伏於地拜主、耶書亞、巴尼、示利比、雅民、亞谷、沙比太、何第雅、瑪西雅、基利他、亞撒利雅、約撒拔、哈難、毘萊雅、與利未人皆訓民、使明律法之意、民咸立於其所、朗誦天主律法之書、解說其義、使民洞悉所誦者、

讀律法及先知書畢、司會堂者、使人問曰、兄弟、若有勸民之語、請言之、

我必逐列邦於爾前、開廓爾境、爾一年三次、往覲爾天主耶和華、於此時必無人貪謀爾地、

斯人愈行、其力愈增、終至郇山朝覲天主、

爾所種之禾稼、成熟刈穫之時、亦為一節、百穀從田間收藏、年終之時、亦為一節、爾一切男丁、一歲三次、當覲主耶和華、

是日書四分之一立於其所、誦主其天主律法之書、晝四分之一認罪、崇拜主其天主、

耶穌至拿撒勒、即其長育之地、於安息日如常入會堂、立而欲讀聖經、有以先知以賽亞書予之、展卷遇一處、載云、

自首日至末日、以斯拉日日誦讀天主律法之書、民眾守節期歷七日、至八日有大會、循其常例、
