This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

I’m calling for the heavens and the earth to be witnesses against you this very day. I’m offering you the choice of life or death. You can choose either blessings or curses. But I want you to choose life. Then you and your children will live.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live,

“當這一切事，就是我擺在你面前的祝福和咒詛，都臨到你身上的時候，你在耶和華你的神趕逐你去的萬國中，你心裡必回想這些話，

我揀選了信實的道路，我把你的典章擺在我面前。

如果你們認為事奉耶和華不好，那麼今日你們就可以選擇你們所要事奉的：是你們列祖在大河那邊事奉的神呢，還是你們現在所住亞摩利人之地的神呢？至於我和我家，我們必事奉耶和華。”眾民回答：“我們絕對不會離棄耶和華，去事奉別的神；因為耶和華我們的神把我們和我們的列祖，從埃及地為奴的家領出來，並且在我們眼前行了那些偉大的神蹟；又在我們所行的一切路上，和我們經過的一切民族中間，他都保護了我們；耶和華又把所有的民族和住在這地的亞摩利人，都從我們面前趕走；所以我們必事奉耶和華，因為他是我們的神。”約書亞對眾民說：“你們不能事奉耶和華，因為他是聖潔的神；他是嫉妒的神，他必不赦免你們的過犯和罪惡。如果你們離棄耶和華，去事奉外族人的神，那麼在耶和華賜福給你們之後，他必轉而降禍與你們，把你們消滅。”眾民對約書亞說：“不，我們必定事奉耶和華。”約書亞對眾民說：“你們選擇了耶和華，要事奉他，你們為自己作證吧。”他們說：“我們願意作證。”

但是最需要的只有一件，馬利亞已經選擇了那上好的分，是不能從她奪去的。”

我今日就呼天喚地向你們作證，你們必在過約旦河取得為業的地上迅速滅亡；你們必不能在那地長久生存，必全被消滅。

我在神和基督耶穌以及蒙揀選的天使面前叮囑你，要毫無成見地持守這些話，行事也不要偏心。

你們當聽耶和華所說的話：“你要起來，向大山爭辯，讓小山可以聽見你的聲音。大山啊！你們要聽耶和華的爭辯。大地永久的根基啊！你們要聽，因為耶和華與他的子民爭辯，和以色列爭論。

我要使他們有同一的心志和同一的行為，終生敬畏我，使他們和他們的子孫都得到福樂。

你們要把你們各支派的眾長老和官長都召集到我這裡來，我好把這些話說給他們聽，並且呼天喚地對他們作證。

我以你的法度為我永遠的產業；因為它們是我心中的喜樂。

這應許原是給你們和你們的兒女，以及所有在遠方的人，就是給凡是我們主神召來歸他的人。”

“天哪，留心吧，我要說話；地啊，聆聽我口中的言語。

願你的手幫助我，因為我選擇了你的訓詞。

諸天哪！你們要因此震驚，要大大戰慄，極其淒涼。”這是耶和華的宣告。“因為我的子民作了兩件惡事，就是離棄了我這活水的泉源，為自己鑿了池子，是破裂不能存水的池子。

諸天哪！要聽。大地啊！要留心聽。因為耶和華說：“我把孩子養育，使他們成長，他們卻背叛了我。

大地啊！大地啊！大地啊！要聽耶和華的話。耶和華這樣說：“你們要寫下，這人算為無子，他的一生毫無成就；因為他的後裔中沒有一人可以成功，能坐在大衛的王位上，再次統治猶大。”

因為他們恨惡知識，不選擇敬畏耶和華；

因為耶和華這樣說：“那些謹守我的安息日，揀選我所喜悅的事，持守我的約、被閹割了的人，
