See, today I have set before you life and prosperity, death and adversity.

“看哪，我今日将生与福，死与祸，陈明在你面前。

「看，我今日將生死禍福擺在你面前。

「看啊，今天我把生死禍福擺在你們面前。

“你看，我今日把生命和福樂，死亡與災禍，都擺在你的面前了。

『看哪，我今日將活與福氣、死與災禍、都擺在你面前。

我今日以生與福、死與禍、陳於爾前、

我於今日、或以生命純嘏、或以死亡災害、置於爾前。

See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction.

Today I’m giving you a choice. You can have life and success. Or you can have death and harm.

“ See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.

“ Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster.

See, today I have set before you life and prosperity, death and adversity.

“ See, I have placed before you today life and happiness, and death and adversity,

“ See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil,

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

“ Look! I have set before you today life and prosperity on the one hand, and death and disaster on the other.

Behold, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and evil.

“ Look, today I set before you a blessing and a curse:

For they are not meaningless words to you but they are your life, and by them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Choose life so that you and your descendants may live,

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life.

“ Now if you faithfully obey the Lord your God and are careful to follow all His commands I am giving you today, the Lord your God will put you far above all the nations of the earth.All these blessings will come and overtake you, because you obey the Lord your God:You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.Your descendants will be blessed, and your land’s produce, and the offspring of your livestock, including the young of your herds and the newborn of your flocks.Your basket and kneading bowl will be blessed.You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.“ The Lord will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you from one direction but flee from you in seven directions.The Lord will grant you a blessing on your storehouses and on everything you do; He will bless you in the land the Lord your God is giving you.The Lord will establish you as His holy people, as He swore to you, if you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by Yahweh’s name, and they will stand in awe of you.The Lord will make you prosper abundantly with children, the offspring of your livestock, and your land’s produce in the land the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.The Lord will open for you His abundant storehouse, the sky, to give your land rain in its season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow.The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward if you listen to the Lord your God’s commands I am giving you today and are careful to follow them.Do not turn aside to the right or the left from all the things I am commanding you today, and do not go after other gods to worship them.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision accomplishes anything; what matters is faith working through love.

“ When all these things happen to you— the blessings and curses I have set before you— and you come to your senses while you are in all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you,

Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written: Everyone who is hung on a tree is cursed.The purpose was that the blessing of Abraham would come to the Gentiles by Christ Jesus, so that we could receive the promised Spirit through faith.

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Now this is His command: that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another as He commanded us.

“ For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
