The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.

The Lord our God keeps certain things hidden. But he makes other things known to us and to our children forever. He does it so we can obey all the words of this law.

問耶穌曰、主、爾以國復以色列、即此時乎、耶穌曰、時與日、乃父以己權所定、非爾可知也、

顯示隱微深奧之事、洞悉暗中所有、光與之偕、

淵淵乎、上帝智慧知識之富有乎、其鞫何可測、其蹤何可追、孰知主志、孰與參議、

示爾以智慧之奧秘、蓋彼富有知識、當知上帝罰爾、較之爾罪所應受者、猶為少也、爾以考究、可測度上帝乎、爾能洞悉全能者乎、

曰、天國之奧、予爾知之、不予他人也、

孰知主心而誨之乎、我儕乃有基督之心也、

耶和華與畏己者相親、必示以其約兮、

萬有由父賜我、父之外無識子者、子及子所欲示者之外、無識父者、凡勞苦負重者就我、我賜爾安、我心溫柔謙遜、宜負我軛而學我、則爾心獲安、蓋我軛易、我負輕也、

巫師長伯提沙撒歟、我知聖神之靈寓於爾中、秘奧無足難爾、其告我所得之夢象、為我解之、

凡由上帝所感之聖經、有益於訓誨、督責、反正、習義、

主耶和華若不以秘密、先示其僕諸先知、則無所行、

應先知所言云、我將啟口設喻、闡創世以來之秘、○

孰立於耶和華議會之中、得聞其語、孰諦聽我言哉、

請其為此秘奧、求天上上帝矜憫、免但以理及其同儕、與其餘之巴比倫哲士偕亡、於夜間異象中、此秘奧顯示於但以理、但以理遂稱頌天上上帝、

蓋乖戾者為耶和華所惡、正直者為其所契、

第錄此、俾爾信耶穌為基督上帝子、信之、則以其名得生也、

惟上帝能堅爾眾、依我福音、及所宣之耶穌基督、並依所啟之奧秘、即自永古存於靜默者、今依永有上帝之命、藉諸先知之書昭著、以示萬國、致因信而服、

我將啟口設譬、宣古秘語兮、乃我所聞所知、我列祖所傳示兮、我不隱於其子孫、必以耶和華之聲譽、能力奇行、宣於後世兮、彼定律於雅各、立法於以色列、命我列祖示於子孫兮、俾後生子孫知之、亦傳諸其裔兮、使其仰望上帝、無忘其作為、恪守其誡命兮、

但以理對曰、王所問之秘奧、哲士術士、巫人卜筮、不能告王、惟在天有上帝、顯示秘奧、彼以末日必有之事、示尼布甲尼撒王、王在牀所得之夢、及所見之異象乃此、王在牀時、思未來之事、今顯示秘奧者、以必有之事示爾、此秘奧顯示於我、非因我有智慧、逾於眾生、乃以夢兆告王、俾知心之所思、

謂人曰、寅畏主為智慧、遠邪惡為明哲、

宜循法律與證詞、若不依此而言、則不見晨光、

勤誨子女、坐於室、行於路、或寢或興、恆論乎此、

蓋念爾衷無偽之信、即昔於爾祖母羅以及爾母友尼基者、我深信於爾亦然、

與爾子孫、一心一意歸爾上帝耶和華、遵從其言、循我今日所諭爾者、

耶穌曰、我若欲其待我來、於爾何涉、爾其從我、

今而後我不謂爾為僕、蓋僕不知其主所行、乃謂爾為友、以所聞於父者、悉已示爾、
