All of you— tribal leaders, elders, officers, all the men of Israel— are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God.

今爾有眾、牧伯、族長、長老、有司、以色列諸丁男、

今日爾與族中最著者、長老族長、暨以色列眾、爰及妻孥、營中之賓旅、自採樵者及汲水者、俱立於爾上帝耶和華前。

今日爾眾、爾諸族長、支派之牧伯、爾長老有司、及以色列眾男、

All of you are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God— your leaders and chief men, your elders and officials, and all the other men of Israel,

Today all of you are standing here in the sight of the Lord your God. Your leaders and chief men are here. Your elders and officials are here. So are all the other men of Israel.

“ You are standing today, all of you, before the Lord your God: the heads of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel,

“ All of you are standing today before the LORD your God— your leaders, tribes, elders, officials, all the men of Israel,

“ You stand today, all of you, before the Lord your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders and your officers, that is, all the men of Israel,

“ All of you stand today before the Lord your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel,

Ye stand this day all of you before Jehovah your God; your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

“ All of you are standing today before the Lord your God— your leaders, tribes, elders, officials, all the men of Israel,

Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers,[ with] all the men of Israel,

You are standing today, all of you, before the LORD your God– the heads of your tribes, your elders, your officials, every Israelite man,

All of you stand today in the presence of Yahweh your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

Then everyone— the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy, the powerful, and every slave and free person— all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

On October 31 the people assembled again, and this time they fasted and dressed in burlap and sprinkled dust on their heads.Those of Israelite descent separated themselves from all foreigners as they confessed their own sins and the sins of their ancestors.

Then the rest of the people— the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, Temple servants, and all who had separated themselves from the pagan people of the land in order to obey the Law of God, together with their wives, sons, daughters, and all who were old enough to understand—

So on October 8 Ezra the priest brought the Book of the Law before the assembly, which included the men and women and all the children old enough to understand.

I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books.

Then Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and the king and the people that they would be the Lord’s people.

Gather all the people— the elders, the children, and even the babies. Call the bridegroom from his quarters and the bride from her private room.Let the priests, who minister in the Lord’s presence, stand and weep between the entry room to the Temple and the altar. Let them pray,“ Spare your people, Lord! Don’t let your special possession become an object of mockery. Don’t let them become a joke for unbelieving foreigners who say,‘ Has the God of Israel left them?’”

Never forget the day when you stood before the Lord your God at Mount Sinai, where he told me,‘ Summon the people before me, and I will personally instruct them. Then they will learn to fear me as long as they live, and they will teach their children to fear me also.’

Call them all together— men, women, children, and the foreigners living in your towns— so they may hear this Book of Instruction and learn to fear the Lord your God and carefully obey all the terms of these instructions.Do this so that your children who have not known these instructions will hear them and will learn to fear the Lord your God. Do this as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.”

The people responded,“ In view of all this, we are making a solemn promise and putting it in writing. On this sealed document are the names of our leaders and Levites and priests.”

Then the king summoned all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.And the king went up to the Temple of the Lord with all the people of Judah and Jerusalem, along with the priests and the Levites— all the people from the greatest to the least. There the king read to them the entire Book of the Covenant that had been found in the Lord’s Temple.The king took his place of authority beside the pillar and renewed the covenant in the Lord’s presence. He pledged to obey the Lord by keeping all his commands, laws, and decrees with all his heart and soul. He promised to obey all the terms of the covenant that were written in the scroll.And he required everyone in Jerusalem and the people of Benjamin to make a similar pledge. The people of Jerusalem did so, renewing their covenant with God, the God of their ancestors.
