“ All of you are standing today before the LORD your God— your leaders, tribes, elders, officials, all the men of Israel,

今日爾與族中最著者、長老族長、暨以色列眾、爰及妻孥、營中之賓旅、自採樵者及汲水者、俱立於爾上帝耶和華前。

今日爾眾、爾諸族長、支派之牧伯、爾長老有司、及以色列眾男、

All of you are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God— your leaders and chief men, your elders and officials, and all the other men of Israel,

Today all of you are standing here in the sight of the Lord your God. Your leaders and chief men are here. Your elders and officials are here. So are all the other men of Israel.

“ You are standing today, all of you, before the Lord your God: the heads of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, all the men of Israel,

All of you— tribal leaders, elders, officers, all the men of Israel— are standing today in the presence of the Lord your God.

“ You stand today, all of you, before the Lord your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders and your officers, that is, all the men of Israel,

“ All of you stand today before the Lord your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel,

Ye stand this day all of you before Jehovah your God; your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

“ All of you are standing today before the Lord your God— your leaders, tribes, elders, officials, all the men of Israel,

Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers,[ with] all the men of Israel,

You are standing today, all of you, before the LORD your God– the heads of your tribes, your elders, your officials, every Israelite man,

All of you stand today in the presence of Yahweh your God: your heads, your tribes, your elders, and your officers, even all the men of Israel,

Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the generals, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

On the twenty-fourth day of this month the Israelites assembled; they were fasting, wearing sackcloth, and had put dust on their heads.Those of Israelite descent separated themselves from all foreigners, and they stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their ancestors.

The rest of the people— the priests, Levites, gatekeepers, singers, and temple servants, along with their wives, sons, and daughters, everyone who is able to understand and who has separated themselves from the surrounding peoples to obey the law of God—

On the first day of the seventh month, the priest Ezra brought the law before the assembly of men, women, and all who could listen with understanding.

I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.

Then Jehoiada made a covenant between himself, the king, and the people that they would be the LORD’s people.

Gather the people; sanctify the congregation; assemble the aged; gather the infants, even babies nursing at the breast. Let the groom leave his bedroom, and the bride her honeymoon chamber.Let the priests, the LORD’s ministers, weep between the portico and the altar. Let them say,“ Have pity on your people, LORD, and do not make your inheritance a disgrace, an object of scorn among the nations. Why should it be said among the peoples,‘ Where is their God?’”

The day you stood before the LORD your God at Horeb, the LORD said to me,‘ Assemble the people before me, and I will let them hear my words, so that they may learn to fear me all the days they live on the earth and may instruct their children.’

Gather the people— men, women, dependents, and the resident aliens within your city gates— so that they may listen and learn to fear the LORD your God and be careful to follow all the words of this law.Then their children who do not know the law will listen and learn to fear the LORD your God as long as you live in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

In view of all this, we are making a binding agreement in writing on a sealed document containing the names of our leaders, Levites, and priests.

So the king sent messengers and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem.The king went up to the LORD’s temple with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, as well as the priests and the Levites— all the people from the oldest to the youngest. He read in their hearing all the words of the book of the covenant that had been found in the LORD’s temple.Then the king stood at his post and made a covenant in the LORD’s presence to follow the LORD and to keep his commands, his decrees, and his statutes with all his heart and with all his soul in order to carry out the words of the covenant written in this book.He had all those present in Jerusalem and Benjamin agree to it. So all the inhabitants of Jerusalem carried out the covenant of God, the God of their ancestors.
