The LORD will designate you as his holy people just as he promised you, if you keep his commandments and obey him.

如爾守爾上帝耶和華之誡、遵行其道、則耶和華必踐其所誓、立爾為己之聖民、

如爾守上帝耶和華命、行從其道、則耶和華必以爾為成聖之民、俾爾服役、踐其所誓之言。

如爾謹守主爾天主之誡命、遵行其道、則主必循其所誓於爾、立爾為其聖民、

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.

The Lord your God will make you his holy people. He will set you apart for himself. He promised to do this. He promised to do it if you would keep his commands and live exactly as he wants you to live.

The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in his ways.

“ If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do.

And today the LORD has declared you to be his special people( as he already promised you) so you may keep all his commandments.Then he will elevate you above all the nations he has made and you will receive praise, fame, and honor. You will be a people holy to the LORD your God, as he has said.

For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. He has chosen you to be his people, prized above all others on the face of the earth.

You must not take for yourself anything that has been placed under judgment. Then the LORD will relent from his intense anger, show you compassion, have mercy on you, and multiply you as he promised your ancestors.

And, after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace who called you to his eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

They will be called,“ The Holy People, the Ones Protected by the LORD.” You will be called,“ Sought After, City Not Abandoned.”

so that you may enter by oath into the covenant the LORD your God is making with you today.Today he will affirm that you are his people and that he is your God, just as he promised you and as he swore by oath to your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people of his own, so that you may proclaim the virtues of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.You once were not a people, but now you are God’s people. You were shown no mercy, but now you have received mercy.Dear friends, I urge you as foreigners and exiles to keep away from fleshly desires that do battle against the soul,

He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.

But it is said of Zion’s residents,“ Each one of these was born in her, and the sovereign One makes her secure.”

I will confirm my covenant as a perpetual covenant between me and you. It will extend to your descendants after you throughout their generations. I will be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

Then I will keep the promise I swore on oath to your ancestors to give them a land flowing with milk and honey.” That is the very land that you still live in today.’” And I responded,“ Amen! Let it be so, LORD!”

I will reestablish honest judges as in former times, wise advisers as in earlier days. Then you will be called,‘ The Just City, Faithful Town.’”

Rather it is because of his love for you and his faithfulness to the promise he solemnly vowed to your ancestors that the LORD brought you out with great power, redeeming you from the place of slavery, from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself,saying,“ Surely I will bless you greatly and multiply your descendants abundantly.”And so by persevering, Abraham inherited the promise.For people swear by something greater than themselves, and the oath serves as a confirmation to end all dispute.In the same way God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, and so he intervened with an oath,so that we who have found refuge in him may find strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us through two unchangeable things, since it is impossible for God to lie.

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
