“与你们素不相识的民族必吃光你们土地的出产和劳碌所得，你们必常受欺压，

爾之土產、爾劬勞所得者、將為爾所未識之民吞食殆盡、爾將受暴虐窘迫、恆久不已、

A people that you do not know will eat what your land and labor produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression all your days.

A nation you don’t know anything about will eat what you work to produce on your land. You will only be treated badly as long as you live.

A nation that you have not known shall eat up the fruit of your ground and of all your labors, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually,

A foreign nation you have never heard about will eat the crops you worked so hard to grow. You will suffer under constant oppression and harsh treatment.

A people you don’t know will eat your land’s produce and everything you have labored for. You will only be oppressed and crushed continually.

他們把耶路撒冷四面圍住，好像看守田地的，因為她悖逆了我：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

他必將你牲口所下的、和你土地上的果實喫了，直到將你消滅；連五穀、新酒、新油、幼小的牛、肥嫩的羊、都不給你剩下，直到使你滅亡為止。

永恆主發神諭說：以色列家啊，看吧，我必使一國的人從遠方來攻擊你：是個持久不敗的國，是個從古就有的國：這一個國、它的語言你不曉得；他們說甚麼、你不曉得聽。

唉，我們今天竟做了服事人的奴僕了！至於你所賜給我們列祖的地來喫這上頭的果實和它的美物的呢、唉，我們在這地上竟做了服事人的奴僕呢！這地豐富的出產竟歸了列王，就是你因我們的罪所派來管轄我們的；他們也任意轄制我們這些人的身體和我們的牲口呢；我們真是受着大困迫啊。』

你們的地土荒涼，你們的城市給火燒燬，你們的田地眼睜睜地被外族人侵吞，一片荒涼、像所多瑪之傾覆。

你中午必摸來摸去，好像瞎子在墨黑中摸來摸去一樣；你不能使你所行的順利；只能日日不斷地受欺壓受搶奪，也沒有人拯救。你聘定了妻，別人必強姦她；你建造房屋，也不得住在裏面；你栽種葡萄園，也不能開始享用它的果子。

那麼我也就要這樣待你們；我必派驚惶、派癆病熱病、突然襲擊你們，使你們眼目失明、精神消損。你們必白白撒種，因為你們的仇敵必喫你們所種的。

『從但那裏聽到敵人的馬的噴鼻氣，他們雄壯的馬的嘶鳴聲，全國盡都震動；因為他們來吞滅這地、和境內所有的，吞滅這城和其中的居民。
