“ Cursed is anyone who kills their neighbor secretly.” Then all the people shall say,“ Amen!”

“ May anyone who kills their neighbor secretly be under the Lord’ s curse.” Then all the people will say,“ Amen!”

“‘ Cursed be anyone who strikes down his neighbor in secret.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

‘ Cursed is anyone who attacks a neighbor in secret.’ And all the people will reply,‘ Amen.’

‘ The one who secretly kills his neighbor is cursed.’ And all the people will say,‘ Amen!’

‘ Cursed is he who attacks his neighbor in secret.’ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen.’

‘ Cursed is the one who attacks his neighbor secretly.’“ And all the people shall say,‘ Amen!’

Cursed be he that smiteth his neighbor in secret. And all the people shall say, Amen.

押沙龍吩咐他的僕人們說：「你們要注意！當暗嫩喝酒暢快的時候，我對你們說：『擊殺暗嫩！』你們就把他殺了。不要害怕！這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要堅強，作英勇的人！」

他在書信裡寫著說：「你要把烏利亞派到戰事激烈的前線，然後你們退到他後面，讓他被擊殺而死。」那時約押正在圍攻敵城，他就把烏利亞安排到他所知道敵兵最強的地方。城裡的人出來與約押交戰，軍隊中大衛的一些臣僕倒下了，赫提人烏利亞也死了。

約押對亞瑪撒說：「我的兄弟，你平安嗎？」約押用右手拉著亞瑪撒的鬍鬚，要親吻他。亞瑪撒沒有防備約押手中的刀，約押用那刀刺入他的腹部，他的內臟流在地上；都不用刺第二刀，他就死了。約押和他弟弟亞比篩繼續追趕比基利的兒子示巴。

但你為什麼藐視耶和華的話，做他眼中看為惡的事呢？你用刀劍擊殺了赫提人烏利亞，又娶他的妻子作你的妻子，你藉著亞捫人的刀劍殺了他！現在，刀劍必永不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫提人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。』「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。你雖然在暗中行事，我卻要在全體以色列人面前，在日光之下施行這報應。』」

押尼珥回到希伯崙，約押把他拉到城門裡要與他私下說話。約押在那裡刺穿他的腹部，他就死了，因為他流了約押弟弟亞撒暉的血。
