He has declared that he will set you in praise, fame and honor high above all the nations he has made and that you will be a people holy to the Lord your God, as he promised.

He has announced that he will make you famous. He’ll give you more praise and honor than all the other nations he has made. And he has said that you will be a holy nation. The Lord your God has set you apart for himself. That’s exactly what he promised to do.

And if you do, he will set you high above all the other nations he has made. Then you will receive praise, honor, and renown. You will be a nation that is holy to the Lord your God, just as he promised.”

然而你們是蒙揀選的族類，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國民，是屬神的子民，為要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

哪一個大國的人有神與他們這樣親近，像耶和華我們的神，在我們每次呼求他的時候，與我們親近一樣呢？又哪一個大國有這樣公義的律例和典章，像我今日在你面前頒布的這一切律法呢？

也就像活石，被建造成為靈宮，作聖潔的祭司，藉著耶穌基督獻上蒙神悅納的靈祭。

又從那信實的見證人、死人中首先復生的、地上眾君王的統治者耶穌基督臨到你們。他愛我們，用自己的血把我們從我們的罪中釋放出來，又使我們成為國度，作他父神的祭司。願榮耀權能都歸給他，直到永永遠遠。阿們。

這城必在地上萬國面前使我得名聲，得喜樂（按照《馬索拉文本》，“得名聲，得喜樂”應作“得喜樂的名聲”；現參照《七十士譯本》翻譯），得頌讚，得榮耀，因為萬國必聽見我向這城的人所施的一切福樂。他們因我向這城所施的一切福樂和平安，就都恐懼戰兢。’

看哪！那時我必對付一切苦待你的人；我必拯救那些瘸腿的，聚集那些被趕散的；在全地受羞辱的，我必使他們得稱讚，有名聲。

如果你謹守耶和華你的神的誡命，遵守他的道路，耶和華就必照著他向你起過的誓，立你作他自己的聖民。

又把鼻環戴在你鼻子上，把耳環戴在你耳朵上，把美麗的冠冕戴在你頭上。這樣你就有了金銀的裝飾，你穿的是細麻、絲綢和刺繡的衣服；你吃的是細麵、蜂蜜和油；你實在非常美麗，配登王后的位。你的名聲因你的美麗傳遍列國，你全然美麗，是因為我加在你身上的榮美。這是主耶和華的宣告。

他使自己子民的角得以高舉（“他使自己子民的角得以高舉”或譯：“他為自己的子民興起一個君王”；“君王”原文作“角”），他所有的聖民，就是和他接近的以色列人，都讚美他。你們要讚美耶和華。

他們要從萬國中用馬、用車、用轎、用騾子、用獨峰駝，把你們所有的兄弟都送到我的聖山耶路撒冷來，作供物獻給耶和華，好像以色列人用潔淨的器皿把供物送到耶和華的殿一樣；這是耶和華說的。耶和華說：“我也必從他們中間取些人作祭司和作利未人。”

因為腰帶怎樣緊貼著人的腰，我也曾怎樣使以色列全家和猶大全家緊貼著我，好使他們作我的子民，叫我得名聲，得讚美，得榮耀；可是他們卻不聽從。’”這是耶和華的宣告。

耶和華必使你作頭不作尾，居上不居下，只要你聽從耶和華你的神的誡命，就是我今日吩咐你的，謹守遵行；
