If a man has recently married, he must not be sent to war or have any other duty laid on him. For one year he is to be free to stay at home and bring happiness to the wife he has married.

Suppose a man has just married his wife. Then don’t send him into battle. Don’t give him any other duty either. He’s free to stay home for one year. He needs time to make his new wife happy.

“ When a man is newly married, he shall not go out with the army or be liable for any other public duty. He shall be free at home one year to be happy with his wife whom he has taken.

“ A newly married man must not be drafted into the army or be given any other official responsibilities. He must be free to spend one year at home, bringing happiness to the wife he has married.

“ When a man takes a bride, he must not go out with the army or be liable for any duty. He is free to stay at home for one year, so that he can bring joy to the wife he has married.

有甚麼人聘定了妻，還沒迎娶的？他可以回家去，恐怕他死在戰場上，而別人去娶她。」

因此人才離開父親和母親，同他的妻子膠結，二人就成為一體了。

好修練年輕婦人愛丈夫、愛兒女、克己、貞潔、能理家、好慈善、順服自己的丈夫，免得上帝之道受謗讟。

要使你的水源蒙祝福；要喜悅你少年所娶的妻：

但從創造之初，「上帝造人是有男有女的」；「因此人才離開父親和母親，同他的妻子膠結。二人就成為一體」；這一來，他們就不再是兩個，而是一體了。所以上帝所配偶的，人不可分開。』

儘你虛幻的人生、就是上帝在日光之下、儘你虛幻的年日中所賜給你的，你要同你所愛的妻子享人生之樂；因為那是你的分兒，你在人生中、和你在日光之下所努力的勞碌中、的分兒。

耶穌回答說：『難道你們沒有誦讀過，創造主從起初造人，是有男有女的；又說：「為這緣故、人必離開父親和母親，同他的妻子膠結，兩個人就成為一體」麼？這一來，他們就不再是兩個，而是一體了。所以上帝所配偶的，人不可分開。』

這一點、弟兄們、我卻要說：時期縮短了。今後有妻子的、要像沒有一樣；

對已結婚的、我也有所囑咐（其實不是我，乃是主），妻子不要離開丈夫；縱使已經離開了，就該安於不嫁，否則要跟丈夫復和；丈夫呢、也不要離棄妻子。對其餘的人呢、是我說，不是主說的：若有弟兄有不信主的妻子，而妻子又贊同和他同住，他就不要離棄妻子。一個婦人有不信主之丈夫的，這人又贊同和他同住，她就不要離棄丈夫。因為不信主的男人因着妻子就聖別了；不信主的婦人因着弟兄也聖別了。不然，你們的兒女就不潔淨了；其實卻是聖潔的。但不信主的人如果離開了，就由他離開。弟兄或姊妹、在這種情形之下、都不必受奴轄；上帝召了你們、是召你們於和平中的。

照樣子，做丈夫的也應該愛自己的妻子，如同愛自己的身體。愛自己妻子的、便是愛自己。從來沒有人恨惡自己的肉身的，乃是保養撫育它，正如基督保養撫育教會一樣；
