When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

When you are gathering crops in your field, you might leave some grain behind by mistake. Don’t go back to get it. Leave it behind for outsiders and widows. Leave it for children whose fathers have died. Then the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do.

那麼利未人（因為利未人不同你一樣有分有業）、以及在你城內的寄居者和孤兒寡婦、就可以來喫，並且喫得飽足；好使永恆主你的上帝在你手所作的一切事上、賜福與你。

有的人大方地花錢，反而更添財；有的人過度不放手，反致窮乏。慷慨施捨的人必得豐裕；滋潤人的、自己必得滋潤。

豈不是把你的食物分給饑餓的人，將流浪的貧困人帶到你家中，見赤身裸體的、給他衣服遮身，而不躲藏避開你骨肉之親麼？這樣，你的光就必暴發如破曉，你的新肉就必迅速地生；你的義氣就必在你前頭行進；永恆主的榮光就必做你的後衛了。那時你呼求，永恆主就必應你；你喊救，他就必說：「啊，我在這裏！」『你若從你中間除掉壓制人的軛，除掉手指頭的指罵人和奸惡的講話；你若將你的食物拿出來供應饑餓的人，使困苦的人得到滿足，那你的光就必在黑暗中昇現起來，你的幽暗就必變像中午。永恆主必不斷地引導你，用美物使你的心滿足，使你的骨頭振奮；你必像澆透了的園子，像水之湧出源，總不令人失望。

不，你辦迎賓席的時候，要請討飯的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、眼瞎的，你就有福了。因為他們沒有甚麼可報答你；在義人的復活生活中，你就會得着報答了。』

你就要在永恆主你的上帝面前說：「我已經把聖物從家裏肅清了，我並且給了利未人、寄居者、和孤兒寡婦，都照你所吩咐我的一切誡命；你的誡命我都沒有越犯過，也沒有忘記掉。

關心於貧寒人的有福啊；他遭難的日子、永恆主必搭救他。永恆主保守他，使他活着，以致他在地上得稱為有福；求你不要把他交給仇敵，去遂其心願。他患病在榻，永恆主扶持着他；使他的病痛變為健康。

但高尚人卻籌劃着高尚的事，他對於高尚的事必永久支持着。

你打橄欖樹以後，枝子不可再查看；那要給寄居的和孤兒寡婦。你割取葡萄園的葡萄以後，所剩下的不可再摘盡了；那要給寄居的和孤兒寡婦。

他布施、他給予貧窮；他的仁義存立到永遠；他的角光榮地高舉。

還有一點：『小量撒種的、也必小量收成；大量撒種的、也必大量收成。』各人要照心裏所酌定的，不要心疼，不要勉強：因為上帝愛歡心樂意的捐獻者。上帝能使各樣的恩惠充盈滿溢地流到你們身上來，使你們凡事常有十分的充足，能夠溢流出各樣慈善的事來。

這樣、永恆主賜福與約伯的晚年就勝過他起初的：他有羊一萬四千隻，駱駝六千隻，牛一千對，母驢一千匹。

凡有人有世上養生之資，見他弟兄有缺乏，卻向他關閉着憐憫的心腸，愛上帝的心怎能存在他裏面呢？小子們，我們愛人、別只用話語了，也別只用舌頭了，卻要用行為和真實。在這一點、我們可以知道我們屬於真實；

要給予，就必有給予你們的，必用好的量器，連搖帶按、上尖下流地倒在你們衣兜裏給你們。因為你們用甚麼量器來量、也必有用甚麼量器量給你們的。』

你總要給他；給他的時候你不要心疼，因為因了這事的緣故永恆主你的上帝總要在你一切工作上、在你下手辦的一切事上、賜福與你。

我若將貧寒人所願望的留住不給，或是讓寡婦的眼渴望到失明，或是獨自喫我一點食物，並沒給孤兒和我同喫；（因為從我幼年時上帝也像父親一樣把我養大；自從出我母腹以來、他就領導我）；我若見將要死亡的人赤身無衣，或見貧窮的人毫無遮蓋，他若不由我的羊毛而得暖，而他內心若不向我祝福感恩，我在城門口若見有幫助我的，便動手攻擊孤兒，那我情願、肩頭從缺盆骨上脫落，膀臂從羊矢骨上折斷。

藐視鄰舍的、是犯罪的人；恩待貧困的乃為有福。

不，你們要愛你們的仇敵，善待他們；要借給他們，絕不期望甚麼。那麼你們的賞報就大了，你們就做了至高者的兒子了；因為他待忘恩負義和邪惡的人都有慈惠。

總要從捆把中給她抽出些來，留給她撿，不可叱嚇她。』
