耶和華說：「約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬啊，你有禍了！你以不公不義的手段建造宮廷殿宇，不給工人發工錢。

倘若有力量行善，就當幫助有需要的人，不要推託。倘若可以幫忙，就不可對有求於你的鄰人說：「回去吧，明天再來，我必給你！」

你們要謹慎，不可因為免除債務的第七年將近，就心懷惡念，對貧窮同胞冷眼相待，拒施援手。否則，他會求告耶和華，那時你們便有罪了。

倘若你們欺凌他們，他們向我呼求，我必聽他們的呼求，向你們發怒，用刀殺掉你們，使你們的妻子變為寡婦，兒女成為孤兒。

「人們因飽受壓迫而呼求，因強權者的壓制而求救。

以致窮人的呼求傳到祂那裡，祂也聽見了困苦者的呼求。

不可挪移古時的界石，不可侵佔孤兒的田地。因他們的救贖主強大，祂必對付你，替他們伸冤。

「到了傍晚，園主對工頭說，『叫工人來領工錢吧，最晚來的先領，最先來的後領。』

你知道『不可殺人，不可通姦，不可偷盜，不可作偽證，不可欺詐，要孝敬父母』這些誡命。」

萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列，祂所喜愛的葡萄樹就是猶大人。祂希望看到公平，卻只看見殺戮；指望看到公義，卻只聽見冤聲。

主啊，我的心仰望你，求你賜我歡樂。

耶和華啊，我的心仰望你。

「若我的田地向我喊冤，條條犁溝一同哭訴；

只有那些手潔心清，不拜假神，不起假誓的人。

不可仗勢剝削貧窮人，法庭上不可欺凌弱者，因為耶和華必為他們伸冤，奪去掠奪他們之人的性命。
