Return their cloak by sunset so that your neighbor may sleep in it. Then they will thank you, and it will be regarded as a righteous act in the sight of the Lord your God.

Return it before the sun goes down. They need it to sleep in and will thank you for returning it. The Lord your God will see it and know that you have done the right thing.

You shall restore to him the pledge as the sun sets, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you. And it shall be righteousness for you before the Lord your God.

反所受之質、償所刦之物、遵行生命之典章、不復為惡、則必得生、不致死亡、

未欺凌人、反負者之質、不奪人之物、飢者供以食、裸者被以衣、

欺凌貧乏、奪人之物、不反人之質、瞻仰偶像、行可惡之事、

慎勿惡念是懷、謂七年豁免之期伊邇、遂睥睨貧乏之昆弟、而弗之給、致彼籲耶和華、罪歸於爾、爾必給之、給時心不憂鬱、為此之故、爾上帝耶和華、必於凡爾所行、及手所為、錫嘏於爾、

願主矜恤阿尼色弗家、彼屢慰我、不以我縲絏為恥、在羅馬時、殷勤覓我而遇之、願主令蒙矜恤於乃日、彼在以弗所多方事我、爾知之稔矣、

由此役驗爾、以爾承順基督福音、博施於彼、且及於眾、歸榮上帝、亦以上帝在爾中之厚恩、戀慕乎爾、為爾祈禱、

不欺凌人、不受人之質、不奪人之物、飢者供以食、裸者被以衣、

時非尼哈起而行罰、瘟災以息兮、此為其義、歷世靡暨兮、

夫眷顧孤寡於患難間、且自守不為斯世所染者、此則於我父上帝前、為純潔無玷之虔敬也、

以所質之衣、陳於諸壇之側、偃臥其上、以所罰之酒、飲於其神之室、

蓋未施矜恤者、其受鞫亦不獲矜恤、夫矜恤也、必勝乎鞫、○我兄弟乎、人若自謂有信而無行、何益之有、信能救之乎、若兄弟姊妹裸體、而日乏食、爾中或語之曰、安然而往、願爾溫飽、而不予以身之所需、則何益哉、如是信而無行、乃死耳、或謂爾有信、我有行、爾其以行外之信示我、我則由我之行以信示爾、爾信上帝惟一、善矣、諸鬼亦信之而戰慄、虛誕之人歟、豈不知行外之信乃死乎、我祖亞伯拉罕獻子以撒於壇、非由行見義乎、可見其信與行同工、且信由行而成全、乃應經所云、亞伯拉罕信上帝、義遂歸之、且稱為上帝友、
