The Ammonites and Moabites didn’t come to meet you with food and water on your way out of Egypt. They even hired Balaam from Pethor in Aram Naharaim to put a curse on you. Balaam was the son of Beor.

他们在一切苦难当中，他也同受苦难，并且他面前的使者拯救他们。他以慈爱和怜悯救赎他们，在古时的日子时常抱他们，背他们。

他就仆倒在地，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗！扫罗！你为什么迫害我？”

巴兰唱起诗歌说：“巴勒领我出亚兰，摩押王领我出东方的山脉：‘来啊，为我诅咒雅各；来啊，怒骂以色列。’

我必使你得极大的尊荣，无论你向我要什么，我都给你。只求你来为我诅咒这百姓。’”

耶洗别杀耶和华先知的时候，俄巴底把一百个先知藏了，每五十人藏在一个洞里，拿饼和水供养他们。

我岂可把饮食，以及我为剪羊毛的人所宰的肉给那些我不知道从哪里来的人呢？”

亚伯兰击败基大老玛和与他结盟的王回来的时候，所多玛王出来，在沙微谷迎接他，沙微谷就是王的谷。又有撒冷王麦基洗德带着饼和酒出来；他是至高上帝的祭司。

万军之耶和华在显出荣耀之后，差遣我到掳掠你们的列国那里，他如此说：“碰你们的就是碰他自己眼中的瞳人。

他派使者往大河附近的毗夺去，到比珥的儿子巴兰的家乡，召巴兰来，说：“看哪，有一群百姓从埃及出来；看哪，他们遮满地面，住在我的对面。现在请你来，为我诅咒这百姓，因为他们比我强大，或许我能打败他们，把他们赶出此地。因为我知道，你为谁祝福，谁就得福；你诅咒谁，谁就受诅咒。”摩押的长老和米甸的长老手里拿着占卜的礼金到巴兰那里，将巴勒的话告诉他。

王回答他们说：‘我实在告诉你们，这些事你们做在我弟兄中一个最小的身上，就是做在我身上了。’
