No Ammonite or Moabite or any of their descendants may enter the assembly of the Lord, not even in the tenth generation.

The people of Ammon and Moab can’t join in worship with the Lord’ s people. That also applies to their children after them for all time to come.

“ No Ammonite or Moabite may enter the assembly of the Lord. Even to the tenth generation, none of them may enter the assembly of the Lord forever,

在那日，百姓听到人朗读摩西的律法书，发现书上写着，亚扪人和摩押人永不可入上帝的会；因为他们没有拿食物和水来迎接以色列人，却雇了巴兰诅咒他们，但我们的上帝使那诅咒变为祝福。

参巴拉、多比雅、阿拉伯人、亚扪人和亚实突人听见耶路撒冷城墙正在修造，破裂的地方开始进行修补，就非常愤怒。

我也娶玛伦的妻子摩押女子路得，好让死人可以在产业上留名，免得他的名在本族本乡的城门中消失了。你们今日都是证人。”在城门坐着的所有百姓和长老说：“我们都是证人。愿耶和华使进你家的这女子，像建立以色列家的拉结和利亚二人一样。又愿你在以法他得亨通，在伯利恒有名声。愿耶和华从这年轻女子赐你后裔，使你的家像她玛从犹大所生法勒斯的家一样。”于是，波阿斯娶了路得为妻，与她同房。耶和华使她怀孕生了一个儿子。妇女们对拿娥米说：“耶和华是应当称颂的！因为他今日没有使你断绝可以赎产业的至亲。愿这孩子在以色列中得名声。他必振奋你的精神，奉养你的晚年，因为他是爱慕你的媳妇所生的。有这样的媳妇，比有七个儿子更好！”拿娥米接过孩子来，抱在怀中抚养他。邻居的妇人给孩子起名，说：“拿娥米得了一个孩子了！”她们就给他起名叫俄备得。俄备得是耶西的父亲，是大卫的祖父。这是法勒斯的后代：法勒斯生希斯仑；希斯仑生兰；兰生亚米拿达；亚米拿达生拿顺；拿顺生撒门；撒门生波阿斯；波阿斯生俄备得；俄备得生耶西；耶西生大卫。

那至亲说：“这样我就不能赎了，免得对我的产业有损。你尽管去赎我所当赎的吧，我不能赎了！”

那些日子，我又看见犹太人娶了亚实突、亚扪和摩押的女子为妻。

与耶和华联合的外邦人不要说：“耶和华将我和他的子民分别出来。”太监也不要说：“看哪，我是枯树。”
