Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them.

He shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place that he shall choose within one of your towns, wherever it suits him. You shall not wrong him.

摩押說：「求你出謀略，作裁決，使你的影子在正午時如同黑夜，隱藏被驅趕的人，不要暴露逃亡的人；讓那些被驅趕的摩押人寄居在你那裡，求你作他們的隱密處，使他們躲避毀滅者的面。」當欺壓者歸於無有，毀滅之事終止，踐踏人的從這地滅盡時，

但你們卻侮辱了這貧窮人！那欺壓你們、把你們拉上法庭的，難道不是那些富有的人嗎？

於是他去投靠當地的一個居民，那人打發他到自己的田裡去放豬。他就是渴望拿豬吃的豆莢來充飢，也沒有人給他。可是他醒悟過來的時候，就說：『我父親那麼多的雇工都食物充足，我卻要在這裡餓死嗎？我要起來，到我父親那裡去，對他說：『父親，我對天犯了罪，也在你面前犯了罪。我再也不配稱為你的兒子，請把我當做你的一個雇工吧。』於是他起來往自己的父親那裡去。他離得還遠的時候，他父親就看到他，動了憐憫之心，跑上去摟住他的脖子親吻他。兒子說：『父親，我對天犯了罪，也在你面前犯了罪。我再也不配稱為你的兒子。』「父親卻對奴僕們說：『趕快把那最好的袍子拿來給他穿上，把戒指戴在他手上，把鞋子穿在他腳上，把那隻養肥的牛犢牽來宰殺了，讓我們吃喝、慶祝吧！因為我這個兒子是死而復生、失而復得的。』於是他們開始慶祝。

不要欺壓寡婦、孤兒、寄居者和困苦人，各人不要在心裡向自己的兄弟謀劃惡事。』

萬軍之耶和華說：「我必臨近你們施行審判；我要快快作證控告那些行巫術的、通姦的、起假誓的、在工酬上欺壓雇工的、欺壓孤兒寡婦的、屈枉寄居者的，以及不敬畏我的！

不要毀謗人、不要爭吵；要謙和，在一切事上對所有的人都要顯出溫柔。其實，我們從前也是無知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各種欲望和享樂的奴僕，活在惡毒和嫉妒中，是可憎惡的，又彼此相恨。
