When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots,[ and] a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the LORD thy God[ is] with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.

When you go to war against your enemies, you might see that they have horses and chariots. They might even have an army stronger than yours. But don’t be afraid of them. The Lord your God will be with you. After all, he brought you up out of Egypt.

And the LORD, he[ it is] that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.

Some[ trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he[ it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because[ they are] many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

What shall we then say to these things? If God[ be] for us, who[ can be] against us?

There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses,[ so] I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Associate yourselves, O ye people, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces.Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God[ is] with us.

When thou passest through the waters, I[ will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD,[ it is] nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou[ art] our God; let not man prevail against thee.

And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him, and said unto him, The LORD[ is] with thee, thou mighty man of valour.

The LORD[ is] on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes[ are] upon thee.

The LORD of hosts[ is] with us; the God of Jacob[ is] our refuge. Selah.

And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that the LORD your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall the LORD do unto all the kingdoms whither thou passest.Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God[ is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof,[ and] the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border,[ and] the forest of his Carmel.I have digged, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of the besieged places.

And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that[ is] upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for tomorrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.

For the LORD thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the LORD thy God[ hath been] with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God[ is] with him, and the shout of a king[ is] among them.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.An horse[ is] a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver[ any] by his great strength.

And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded,[ saying], Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me,[ then] I will not go.And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;

And Joshua did unto them as the LORD bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
