免無辜之血流於耶和華所錫之地、爾可不陷於此罪。

Do this so that innocent blood will not be shed in your land, which the Lord your God is giving you as your inheritance, and so that you will not be guilty of bloodshed.

Do it to protect those not guilty of murder. Then you won’t spill their blood in your land. It’s the land the Lord your God is giving you as your own.

lest innocent blood be shed in your land that the Lord your God is giving you for an inheritance, and so the guilt of bloodshed be upon you.

That way you will prevent the death of innocent people in the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession. You will not be held responsible for the death of innocent people.

In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

So innocent blood will not be shed in the midst of your land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and guilt for bloodshed will not be on you.

目所視則傲慢、口所言則詭譎、手殺無辜、

喜戮無辜、疾趨行惡、其謀不軌、其行殘刻。

我賣無辜者之血、有罪矣、僉曰、於我何與、爾自當之、猶大擲金於殿、退而自縊、

如殺人命、則污衊斯土、殺人者未償命、則污仍不去、

遂禱耶和華曰、耶和華隨意而作、勿為斯人、使我殞亡、如我擲之於海、勿視我若殺無辜。

爾勿姑縱、如是可絕殺人之罪於以色列族中、而爾納福。○

於爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、田畝間、遇見殺者之尸、不知誰殺、則爾之長老刑官、必於四周之邑、度其遠近、如有一邑甚近、邑之長老必取牝犢、未負軛工作者、攜犢至活水之谿、其地未嘗耕耘播種、則於谿中斫犢之頸、祭司利未人必適其所、蓋利未人為爾上帝耶和華所簡、以供服役、籲其名而祝告、凡諸爭競加害之事、為利未人定擬。甚近之邑、其長老、必於宰犢谿中盥濯其手、稱曰、此人非我所殺、其死非我所見、耶和華歟、爾贖以色列民、願赦其罪、勿以殺人之罪、歸之無辜、於是斯罪可赦。爾既行善於耶和華前、則殺人之罪不歸於爾。○

王曰、可如其言而行、擊而葬之、於是約押流無辜之血、其罪不歸於我、亦不歸我父之家。

不虐遇遠人、不害孤寡、不殺無辜、不崇事他上帝、以召禍患、則昔我所錫爾祖之地、以為永業者、今必俾爾安居。

昔埃及、以東之民、虐遇猶大族、在猶大地殺戮無辜、故二國必荒蕪變為曠野、

馬拿西遍耶路撒冷四境、多殺不辜、又作惡於耶和華前、陷猶大族於罪戾。
