如爾邑中有訟事、為流血、為爭競、為加害、爾所難鞫者、則必詣爾上帝耶和華特簡之室、

“你城中若起了争讼的事，或因流血，或因争竞，或因殴打，是你难断的案件，你就当起来，往耶和华你神所选择的地方

“你城中若有难以判断的案件，涉及流血，诉讼，或殴打等争讼的事，你就要起来，上到那里，耶和华—你上帝所选择的地方，

“你城中若有难以判断的案件，涉及流血，诉讼，或殴打等争讼的事，你就要起来，上到那里，耶和华—你神所选择的地方，

“如果案件复杂，难以决断，如谋杀、诉讼、人身伤害等，就要把案件带到你们的上帝耶和华选定的地方，

“在你的城里如果有什么争讼的事：或是流血，或是诉讼，或是殴打，是你很难处决的案件，你就要起来，上到耶和华你的神选择的地方，

『在你城內若有案件在流血與流血之間、辯訴與辯訴之間、毆打與毆打之間、爭訟的點太離奇、不是你所能判斷的，那麼你就要起來，上永恆主你的上帝所要選擇的地方，

如爾邑中有詞訟、或因流血、或因爭競、或因鬥傷、爾所難鞫者、則當起、往主爾天主所選之處、

If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge— whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults— take them to the place the Lord your God will choose.

People will bring their cases to your courts. But some cases will be too hard for you to judge. They might be about murders, attacks or other crimes. Then take those hard cases to the place the Lord your God will choose.

“ If any case arises requiring decision between one kind of homicide and another, one kind of legal right and another, or one kind of assault and another, any case within your towns that is too difficult for you, then you shall arise and go up to the place that the Lord your God will choose.

“ Suppose a case arises in a local court that is too hard for you to decide— for instance, whether someone is guilty of murder or only of manslaughter, or a difficult lawsuit, or a case involving different kinds of assault. Take such legal cases to the place the Lord your God will choose,

“ If a case is too difficult for you— concerning bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults— cases disputed at your city gates, then go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.

“ If a case is too difficult for you to decide, between one kind of homicide or another, between one kind of lawsuit or another, and between one kind of assault or another, that are cases of dispute in your courts, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.

“ If a matter arises which is too hard for you to judge, between degrees of guilt for bloodshed, between one judgment or another, or between one punishment or another, matters of controversy within your gates, then you shall arise and go up to the place which the Lord your God chooses.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within thy gates; then shalt thou arise, and get thee up unto the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose;

“ If a case is too difficult for you— concerning bloodshed, lawsuits, or assaults— cases disputed at your gates, you must go up to the place the Lord your God chooses.

If there arise a matter too hard for thee in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea, and between stroke and stroke,[ being] matters of controversy within thy gates: then shalt thou arise, and get thee up into the place which the LORD thy God shall choose;

If a matter is too difficult for you to judge– bloodshed, legal claim, or assault– matters of controversy in your villages– you must leave there and go up to the place the LORD your God chooses.

爾之上帝耶和華、於爾支派中、特簡一室、為爾族籲名之所、爾必詣斯室以禱告。

萬有之主耶和華曰、當問法於祭司曰、

牛觸男女、致死者、必以石斃牛、不食其肉、無罪牛主。

時有二妓至、立於王前、其一曰、我主歟、我偕彼同居一室、我產一子於室中、越三日、彼亦產一子、處此室者惟我二人、無人與居。彼至夕而寢、誤壓其子、致死。中夜睡覺、見我尚寢、則取我子、抱於其懷、而置死子於我側。昧爽、我起哺子、見子已死、既明察之、乃非我所產。一曰、不然、生者屬我、死者屬爾。對曰、不然、死者爾子、生者我子、於是爭辨於王前。王曰、此云、生者我子、死者爾子。彼云、死者爾子、生者我子。王又曰、攜刃至此、人攜刃至王前。王曰、剖生子為二、使各得其半。生子之母、中心如焚、告王曰、我主歟、願以生子給之、斷勿加害。其一曰、勿歸於我、勿歸於彼、剖之可也。王曰、先言者乃生子之母、以子歸之、斷勿加害。以色列族眾、聞王所擬若是、知王感於上帝、得智以折中、故無不寅畏焉。

如擊僕婢、立斃杖下者、必受刑。

兩造具備、立於耶和華前、及在位之祭司刑官前。

約沙法使利未人、及祭司以色列族中最著者、歸耶路撒冷、代耶和華聽訟鞫事、告之曰、當夤畏耶和華、盡乃心、真實無妄、如爾邑中、同儕有訟事、為流血、為犯律例禁令、禮儀法度、爾當訓眾、勿違耶和華、恐其怒爾、及爾同儕、爾如是行、則可無過。

時必簡邑、為逋逃之藪、使誤殺人者、可遁於彼、

殺人者遁於彼、全其餘生、亦有定例、凡無讎怨、誤傷人命、

被殺之戚屬、可報其仇、遇即殺之。若蓄怨而刺人、或伏要而射人、或生釁而手擊人、置人於死地、是誠殺人者、必死毋赦、被殺之戚屬遇即殺之、如毫無釁隙、而猝然刺及、或非伏要、而以物相射、或不見而擲石、致人於死、本非結讎、不欲害人、則會眾必於殺人報仇者之間循例而剖析。救殺人者脫於報仇者手、既遁於逋逃之藪、必使居彼、以待受聖膏之祭司長終、則無故焉。如殺人者出逋逃之邑郊、報仇者在外遇而殺之、則罪不之及、蓋殺人者當居逋逃之藪、待祭司長死、後返其故土可也。以此著為定例、歷世勿替、隨往勿易。凡殺人者、有人為證、必死毋赦、證人惟一則不可。殺人者不得以金贖、必死毋赦。祭司長未死、而殺人者欲以金贖、離逋逃之藪、歸其故土、亦不可。如殺人命、則污衊斯土、殺人者未償命、則污仍不去、我耶和華居以色列族中、故不可加以污衊。

相鬥誤擊妊婦墮胎、而無他害、則當罰金、依夫所定、折中於士師。

維彼祭司、宜有智慧、既為萬有之主耶和華所遣、人當就彼、諮諏法度、

隨時鞫民、事鉅則往告、事細則自鞫。

若以鐵器擊人至死、是誠殺人者、必死毋赦、

耶和華之選民、支派相沿、循以色列族之常例、陟彼高岡、頌美耶和華兮、我大闢兮、所有眾子、在彼京師、坐於厥位、以鞫兆民兮。

擊人死者殺無赦。如殺人非出有意、乃上帝假手於爾、我必示爾以可避之處。如惡謀詭計殺人、雖逋逃於祭壇、亦執以償。

宵小穿窬、斃於人手、弗償其命。

免無辜之血流於耶和華所錫之地、爾可不陷於此罪。如人讎怨同儕、伏而擊之、以致於死、後遁於斯邑、

鞫事屬上帝、汝鞫人時、毋行偏視、無論尊卑、必聽其訟、不可畏人、如事關重大、則告於我、我為剖析、
