The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you,“ You are not to go back that way again.”

The king must not get large numbers of horses for himself. He must not make the people return to Egypt to get more horses. The Lord has told you,“ You must not go back there again.”

Only he must not acquire many horses for himself or cause the people to return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall never return that way again.’

“ The king must not build up a large stable of horses for himself or send his people to Egypt to buy horses, for the Lord has told you,‘ You must never return to Egypt.’

However, he must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire many horses, for the LORD has told you,‘ You are never to go back that way again.’

In any case, he is not to acquire many horses for himself, nor shall he make the people return to Egypt in order to acquire many horses, since the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall never again return that way.’

But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the Lord has said to you,‘ You shall not return that way again.’

Only he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he may multiply horses; forasmuch as Jehovah hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

However, he must not acquire many horses for himself or send the people back to Egypt to acquire many horses, for the Lord has told you,‘ You are never to go back that way again.’

所罗门有套车的马四万，还有马兵一万二千。

“他们必不归回埃及地，亚述人却要作他们的王，因他们不肯归向我。

法老容百姓去的时候，非利士地的道路虽近，神却不领他们从那里走；因为神说：“恐怕百姓遇见打仗后悔，就回埃及去。”

耶和华必使你坐船回埃及去，走我曾告诉你不得再见的路；在那里你必卖己身与仇敌作奴婢，却无人买。”

他却背叛巴比伦王，打发使者往埃及去，要他们给他马匹和多民。他岂能亨通呢？行这样事的人岂能逃脱呢？他背约岂能逃脱呢？

摩西对百姓说：“不要惧怕，只管站住！看耶和华今天向你们所要施行的救恩。因为，你们今天所看见的埃及人必永远不再看见了。

擒拿了他的马兵一千七百，步兵二万，将拉战车的马砍断蹄筋，但留下一百辆车的马。

“管辖你们的王必这样行：他必派你们的儿子为他赶车、跟马，奔走在车前；

所罗门有套车的马四千棚，有马兵一万二千，安置在屯车的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那里。

所罗门聚集战车马兵，有战车一千四百辆，马兵一万二千名，安置在屯车的城邑和耶路撒冷，就是王那里。王在耶路撒冷使银子多如石头，香柏木多如高原的桑树。所罗门的马是从埃及带来的，是王的商人一群一群按着定价买来的。

耶和华为什么把我们领到那地，使我们倒在刀下呢？我们的妻子和孩子必被掳掠。我们回埃及去岂不好吗？”众人彼此说：“我们不如立一个首领回埃及去吧！”

我们不向亚述求救，不骑埃及的马，也不再对我们手所造的说：‘你是我们的神。’因为孤儿在你耶和华那里得蒙怜悯。”

那时，哈及的儿子亚多尼雅自尊，说：“我必作王”，就为自己预备车辆、马兵，又派五十人在他前头奔走。

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，是因仗赖马匹，倚靠甚多的车辆，并倚靠强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧；他必降灾祸，并不反悔自己的话，却要兴起攻击那作恶之家，又攻击那作孽帮助人的。埃及人不过是人，并不是神；他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，那受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。

现在你把当头给我主亚述王，我给你二千匹马，看你这一面骑马的人够不够。若不然，怎能打败我主臣仆中最小的军长呢？你竟倚靠埃及的战车马兵吗？

有人靠车，有人靠马，但我们要提到耶和华我们神的名。

说：‘我们不住这地，却要进入埃及地，在那里看不见争战，听不见角声，也不致无食饥饿。我们必住在那里。’你们所剩下的犹大人哪，现在要听耶和华的话。万军之耶和华以色列的神如此说：‘你们若定意要进入埃及，在那里寄居，你们所惧怕的刀剑在埃及地必追上你们！你们所惧怕的饥荒在埃及要紧紧地跟随你们！你们必死在那里！
