The person who acts arrogantly, refusing to listen either to the priest who stands there serving the LORD your God or to the judge, must die. You must purge the evil from Israel.

若有人擅敢不听从那侍立在耶和华你神面前的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就必治死；这样，便将那恶从以色列中除掉。

若有人擅自行事，不听从那侍立在耶和华—你上帝那里事奉的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就要处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。

若有人擅自行事，不听从那侍立在耶和华—你神那里事奉的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就要处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。

如果有人不肯接受事奉你们上帝耶和华的祭司和审判官的判决，就必须处死他。如此，你们便从以色列除掉了罪恶，

有人擅敢不聽從祭司、即侍立在彼以奉事主爾之天主者、或不聽從士師、其人必當治死、如是、除惡於以色列人中、

Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.

Someone might show that they don’t respect the judge. Or they will show that they don’t respect the priest. The priest will serve the Lord your God at the place God will choose. If anyone doesn’t show respect for these people, that person must be put to death. Remove that evil person from Israel.

The man who acts presumptuously by not obeying the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.

Anyone arrogant enough to reject the verdict of the judge or of the priest who represents the Lord your God must die. In this way you will purge the evil from Israel.

But the person who acts insolently by not listening to the priest who stands there to serve the Lord your God, nor to the judge, that person shall die; so you shall eliminate the evil from Israel.

Now the man who acts presumptuously and will not heed the priest who stands to minister there before the Lord your God, or the judge, that man shall die. So you shall put away the evil from Israel.

And the man that doeth presumptuously, in not hearkening unto the priest that standeth to minister there before Jehovah thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.

The person who pays no attention to the priest currently serving the LORD your God there, or to the verdict– that person must die, so that you may purge evil from Israel.

The man who does presumptuously in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Yahweh your God, or to the judge, even that man shall die. You shall put away the evil from Israel.

That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the LORD your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.

“ But the person who acts defiantly, whether native or resident alien, blasphemes the LORD. That person is to be cut off from his people.

“ At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the LORD’s covenant, to stand before the LORD to serve him, and to pronounce blessings in his name, as it is today.

Consequently, anyone who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.

If anyone does not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that house or town.

he may serve in the name of the LORD his God like all his fellow Levites who minister there in the presence of the LORD.

But let no one dispute; let no one argue, for my case is against you priests.

Whoever did not come within three days would forfeit all his possessions, according to the decision of the leaders and elders, and would be excluded from the assembly of the exiles.

For the LORD your God has chosen him and his sons from all your tribes to stand and minister in his name from now on.

The witnesses’ hands are to be the first in putting him to death, and after that, the hands of all the people. You must purge the evil from you.

For if we deliberately go on sinning after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries.Anyone who disregarded the law of Moses died without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.How much worse punishment do you think one will deserve who has trampled on the Son of God, who has regarded as profane the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

Publicly rebuke those who sin, so that the rest will be afraid.

When a mocker is punished, the inexperienced become wiser; when one teaches a wise man, he acquires knowledge.

“ From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon, king of Judah, until this very day— twenty-three years— the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken to you time and time again, but you have not obeyed.The LORD sent all his servants the prophets to you time and time again, but you have not obeyed or even paid attention.He announced,‘ Turn, each of you, from your evil way of life and from your evil deeds. Live in the land the LORD gave to you and your ancestors long ago and forever.Do not follow other gods to serve them and to bow in worship to them, and do not anger me by the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.“‘ But you have not obeyed me’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ with the result that you have angered me by the work of your hands and brought disaster on yourselves.’“ Therefore, this is what the LORD of Armies says:‘ Because you have not obeyed my words,I am going to send for all the families of the north’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ and send for my servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will bring them against this land, against its residents, and against all these surrounding nations, and I will completely destroy them and make them an example of horror and scorn, and ruins forever.I will eliminate the sound of joy and gladness from them— the voice of the groom and the bride, the sound of the millstones and the light of the lamp.This whole land will become a desolate ruin, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.When the seventy years are completed, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation’— this is the LORD’s declaration—‘ the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity, and I will make it a ruin forever.I will bring on that land all my words I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book that Jeremiah prophesied against all the nations.For many nations and great kings will enslave them, and I will repay them according to their deeds and the work of their hands.’”

All Israel will hear and be afraid, and they will no longer do anything evil like this among you.

Moreover, keep your servant from willful sins; do not let them rule me. Then I will be blameless and cleansed from blatant rebellion.

Whoever listens to you listens to me. Whoever rejects you rejects me. And whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”

For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.”

But the prophet who presumes to speak a message in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods— that prophet must die.’

The one who rejects me and doesn’t receive my sayings has this as his judge: The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.
