你們要使禁食的日子分別為聖，宣告嚴肅會，召集長老和這地所有的居民來到耶和華－你們上帝的殿，向耶和華哀求。

第八日他們舉行嚴肅會，行奉獻壇的禮七日，守節七日。

從第一天直到末一天，以斯拉天天朗讀上帝的律法書。他們守節七日，第八日照例有嚴肅會。
