十五日开始节庆，你们要连续七天吃无酵饼。第一天要举行圣会，不可做日常工作。你们要把毫无残疾的两头公牛犊、一只公绵羊和七只一岁的公羊羔献给耶和华作燔祭；

你们要定一个禁食的日子，举行庄严的聚会，召集全国的长老和人民，到你们的上帝耶和华的殿中，向耶和华呼求。

第八天举行庄严的聚会，又举行七天献坛礼。之后，他们又欢庆七天。

从第一天到最后一天，以斯拉每天都诵读上帝的律法书。他们守节期七天，第八天根据典章举行庄严的聚会。
