Cleanse out the old leaven that you may be a new lump, as you really are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old. Then Josiah contributed to the lay people, as Passover offerings for all who were present, lambs and young goats from the flock to the number of 30,000, and 3,000 bulls; these were from the king’s possessions.

“ On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Lord’s Passover,and on the fifteenth day of this month is a feast. Seven days shall unleavened bread be eaten.On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall not do any ordinary work,but offer a food offering, a burnt offering to the Lord: two bulls from the herd, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old; see that they are without blemish;

So Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.”
