因為窮人是不會從你國中斷絕的，所以我吩咐你說：「你對你國中的族弟兄、你的困苦人貧窮人、總要展開手來。

原来那地上的穷人永不断绝；所以我吩咐你说：‘总要向你地上困苦穷乏的弟兄松开手。’”

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.

你對他總要展開手，照他所缺乏的、借足給他、去補他的缺乏。

主替我們放棄了性命：在這一點、我們就認識了愛了。我們呢、也應該替弟兄們放棄性命。凡有人有世上養生之資，見他弟兄有缺乏，卻向他關閉着憐憫的心腸，愛上帝的心怎能存在他裏面呢？小子們，我們愛人、別只用話語了，也別只用舌頭了，卻要用行為和真實。

富戶窮人彼此相遇；二者都是永恆主造的。

那一羣信眾都一心一意；沒有一個人說他的資財有一樣是自己的；他們的東西都大家共有。使徒用大能力提出主耶穌復活的見證來；眾人都大蒙恩惠。他們中間沒有一個貧乏的，因為凡是業主、有園地或房屋的、都變賣了，把所賣的價錢拿來，放在使徒腳旁；照人所需要的分給各人。

其中有一個、名叫亞迦布、站起來，藉着聖靈指明普天下必有大饑荒；這事在革老丟年間果然發生了。於是門徒中、按着優裕的程度、各人規定作賑的款項，送給住在猶太的弟兄。這件事他們真地實行了，由巴拿巴掃羅經手，送到長老那裏。

你們要變賣資財來施捨，為自己豫備永不舊的錢囊，用不盡的財寶在天上；那裏沒有賊能走近，也沒有蟲能毁壞。

就是在患難之大試驗中、他們喜樂之滿溢、跟他們很深的貧窮、竟溢流出他們慷慨施與之豐富來。我可以見證，他們是按着力量，而且過了力量，自願自動以再三再四的懇請求我們、讓他們將恩惠和團契捐去供應聖徒的需要。他們並且不單照我們所盼望的，反而憑着上帝的旨意、先把自己獻與主，也獻與我們。故此我們力勸提多說：他既怎樣把這捐獻恩惠的事提倡並開辦，就該怎樣在你們中間辦成。但你們既在凡事上、在信心、口才、知識、和萬分熱切上、又在你們待我們的愛心上、都充盈滿溢，那麼在這恩惠捐獻上也就應當充盈滿溢流出來啊。我這不是當命令說的，我乃是要藉着別人的熱切來試驗你們的愛心是不是真的罷了。你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩：他本來富足，卻為了你們的緣故成為貧窮，使你們因着他的貧窮成為富足。

向你求的，你要給他；想要向你借的，你別轉臉不顧他。

他們賣了田產家業，分給眾人、照人所需要的。
