There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your fellow Israelites who are poor and needy in your land.

There will always be poor people in the land. So I’m commanding you to give freely to those who are poor and needy in your land. Open your hands to them.

For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you,‘ You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor, in your land.’

他们所需要的，你们要慷慨地借给他们。

主耶稣为我们舍命，我们由此便知道什么是爱，我们也应当为弟兄姊妹舍命。如果一个丰衣足食的人看见贫穷的弟兄姊妹，却毫无怜悯之心，怎能说他爱上帝呢？所以，孩子们啊，不要单在口头上说爱人，总要以真诚的行动表现出来。

富人和穷人相同：都由耶和华所造。

当时所有信徒都同心合意，共用所有的东西，没有人说他的财物只属于自己。使徒充满能力，继续为主耶稣复活的事做见证，上帝也赐下极大的恩典给众人。信徒都一无所缺，因为大家卖掉房屋田产，把所得的钱交给使徒，照各人的需要分配给各人。

其中一位名叫亚迦布，他得到圣灵的启示，站起来预言天下将有严重的饥荒。后来，这事果然在克劳狄执政期间发生了。门徒决定各尽所能，捐款救济住在犹太境内的弟兄姊妹。他们捐完后，委托巴拿巴和扫罗将款项送交耶路撒冷教会的长老。

要变卖你们的家产去周济穷人，要为自己预备永不破损的钱袋，在天上积攒取之不尽的财宝，那里没有贼偷，也没有虫蛀。

他们虽然遭遇极大的患难，受尽熬炼，却充满了喜乐，在极度贫穷的情况下仍然十分慷慨乐捐。我可以证明，他们是甘心乐意，尽其所能地捐助，甚至超过了自己的能力。他们恳切地求我们准许他们与有需要的圣徒分享上帝的恩典。他们这样做超过了我们的期望，并且他们按照上帝的旨意首先把自己献给主，然后献给我们。所以，我们劝提多要继续完成他早先在你们当中开始的这件善事。你们既然在信心、口才、知识、热心和对我们的爱心上都有突出的表现，也要在这件善事上有突出的表现。我说这话并非命令你们，而是借着别人的热心考验一下你们爱心的真伪。因为你们知道我们主耶稣基督的恩典，祂本来富足，却为你们的缘故变得贫穷，使你们借着祂的贫穷可以变得富足。

有求你的，就给他；有向你借的，不可拒绝他。

他们把田产家业变卖了，按照各人的需要把钱分给大家。
