And when the cloud lifted in the morning, they set out, or if it continued for a day and a night, when the cloud lifted they set out.Whether it was two days, or a month, or a longer time, that the cloud continued over the tabernacle, abiding there, the people of Israel remained in camp and did not set out, but when it lifted they set out.

You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out.But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up.For the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel throughout all their journeys.

Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them,coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. And there was the cloud and the darkness. And it lit up the night without one coming near the other all night.

He spread a cloud for a covering, and fire to give light by night.

And in the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic,

And I will be to her a wall of fire all around, declares the Lord, and I will be the glory in her midst.’”

In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud lifted from over the tabernacle of the testimony,and the people of Israel set out by stages from the wilderness of Sinai. And the cloud settled down in the wilderness of Paran.

On that day I swore to them that I would bring them out of the land of Egypt into a land that I had searched out for them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most glorious of all lands.

Then the Lord will create over the whole site of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, and smoke and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory there will be a canopy.There will be a booth for shade by day from the heat, and for a refuge and a shelter from the storm and rain.

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.
