But how can I bear your problems and your burdens and your disputes all by myself?

But I can’t handle your problems and troubles all by myself. I can’t settle your arguments.

How can I bear by myself the weight and burden of you and your strife?

But you are such a heavy load to carry! How can I deal with all your problems and bickering?

But how can I bear your troubles, burdens, and disputes by myself?

not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;

to the one a savor from death unto death; to the other a savor from life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

And now, O Jehovah my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child; I know not how to go out or come in.And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.Give thy servant therefore an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy great people?

Then thou spakest in vision to thy saints, And saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

And Moses said unto Jehovah, Wherefore hast thou dealt ill with thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favor in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?Have I conceived all this people? have I brought them forth, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing- father carrieth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favor in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

And I spake unto you at that time, saying, I am not able to bear you myself alone:

And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to judge the people: and the people stood about Moses from the morning unto the evening.And when Moses’ father- in- law saw all that he did to the people, he said, What is this thing that thou doest to the people? why sittest thou thyself alone, and all the people stand about thee from morning unto even?And Moses said unto his father- in- law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:when they have a matter, they come unto me; and I judge between a man and his neighbor, and I make them know the statutes of God, and his laws.
