Jesus said to him,“ Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another— all will be thrown down.”

But he will completely destroy Nineveh with an overwhelming flood, and he will chase his enemies into darkness.

“ Elijah does come first and restores all things,” he replied.“ Why then is it written that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be treated with contempt?

Wasn’t it necessary for the Messiah to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

For the days will come on you when your enemies will build a barricade around you, surround you, and hem you in on every side.They will crush you and your children among you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in your midst, because you did not recognize the time when God visited you.”

He replied to them,“ Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down.”

“ His sons will mobilize for war and assemble a large number of armed forces. They will advance, sweeping through like a flood, and will again wage war as far as his fortress.

My strength is dried up like baked clay; my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You put me into the dust of death.

He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead the third day,

Then the LORD said: Name him Lo-ammi, for you are not my people, and I will not be your God.

Who is this, rising like the Nile, with waters that churn like rivers?

As for me, if I am lifted up from the earth I will draw all people to myself.”He said this to indicate what kind of death he was about to die.Then the crowd replied to him,“ We have heard from the law that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can you say,‘ The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”

He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

“ The kingdom of heaven is like a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

I will not talk with you much longer, because the ruler of the world is coming. He has no power over me.

They will be killed by the sword and be led captive into all the nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet.For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.All these events are the beginning of labor pains.“ Then they will hand you over to be persecuted, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of my name.Then many will fall away, betray one another, and hate one another.Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.But the one who endures to the end will be saved.This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don’t be alarmed; these things must take place, but it is not yet the end.

Because of this, won’t the land quake and all who dwell in it mourn? All of it will rise like the Nile; it will surge and then subside like the Nile in Egypt.

He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”

See, your house is left to you desolate.

The Lord, the GOD of Armies— he touches the earth; it melts, and all who dwell in it mourn; all of it rises like the Nile and subsides like the Nile of Egypt.

For you were called to this, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

The king was enraged, and he sent out his troops, killed those murderers, and burned down their city.

For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

He will resolve to come with the force of his whole kingdom and will reach an agreement with him. He will give him a daughter in marriage to destroy it, but she will not stand with him or support him.

“ These things that you see— the days will come when not one stone will be left on another that will not be thrown down.”

the Lord will certainly bring against them the mighty rushing water of the Euphrates River— the king of Assyria and all his glory. It will overflow its channels and spill over all its banks.

They also presented false witnesses who said,“ This man never stops speaking against this holy place and the law.For we heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,and not for the nation only, but also to unite the scattered children of God.
