是時必有大難、自世之始迄今未有、後亦無之、

彼見虛偽、及欺誑之卜筮、謂耶和華言之、然耶和華未嘗遣之、彼乃使人冀其言有驗、

爾曹列王、宜具聰慧、世上士師、宜受訓誨兮、

侯伯顯貴、世上士師、恃我操權、

彼則曰、我於夜間、見有乘赤馬者、立於谷中岡拈樹間、其後有赤紅白色之馬、

惟我所命我僕諸先知之言詞典章、豈非及於爾列祖乎、彼則悛改曰、萬軍之耶和華欲依我所行所為、而施行於我、已若是待我矣、○

萬軍之耶和華、以色列之上帝云、我所降於耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑之災、爾目睹之、今為荒蕪、無人居處、乃因其人行惡、以激我怒、焚香以事他神、即彼與爾、及爾列祖所未識者、我遣我僕諸先知詣爾、夙興而遣之曰、噫、此可憎之事、我所疾者、爾勿行之、惟彼不從、不側耳以聽、不改其惡仍焚香於他神、故我傾怒洩忿於猶大諸邑、及耶路撒冷街衢、如火之焚、使之荒寂、有如今日、

地上諸族、我惟識爾、故爾諸愆、我必報之、

曰、爾曹聽訟不公、偏袒惡人、將至何時乎、當為孤貧伸冤、為艱苦困乏者行義兮、

我民女之愆尤、重於所多瑪之罪惡兮、彼傾覆於俄頃、非人手加之兮、

蓋我謂基督因上帝之真誠、曾為受割者之役、以應所許列祖之言、

誰能鞫此眾民、祈賜爾僕智慧之心、為民折中、而辨是非、

蓋是時將有災難、自上帝造物之始、以迄於今、未嘗如此、後亦無之、

蓋此乃報復之日、致所載者皆應也、

是日也、昏暗晦冥、密雲深厚、有一族至、既大且強、勢若晨光布於山上、自古迄今、未有若此者、歷至萬世亦無之、
