But as for you, Daniel, keep these words secret and seal up the book until the end of time; many will roam about, and knowledge will increase.”

Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the latter days, because the vision pertains to the days still future.”

And he said,“ Go your way, Daniel, for these words will be kept secret and sealed up until the end time.

And he* said to me,“ Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.

“ Son of man, behold, the house of Israel is saying,‘ The vision that he sees is for many years from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’

When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven, saying,“ Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken, and do not write them.”

Then I said to her,“ You shall live with me for many days. You shall not play the prostitute, nor shall you have another man; so I will also be toward you.”For the sons of Israel will live for many days without a king or leader, without sacrifice or memorial stone, and without ephod or household idols.

It even exalted itself to be equal with the Commander of the army; and it removed the regular sacrifice from Him, and the place of His sanctuary was overthrown.And because of an offense the army will be given to the horn along with the regular sacrifice; and it will hurl truth to the ground and do as it pleases and be successful.Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to that particular one who was speaking,“ How long will the vision about the regular sacrifice apply, while the offense causes horror, so as to allow both the sanctuary and the army to be trampled?”And he said to me,“ For 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be properly restored.”When I, Daniel, had seen the vision, I sought to understand it; and behold, standing before me was one who looked like a man.

They will be gathered together Like prisoners in the dungeon, And will be confined in prison; And after many days they will be punished.
