我看見獸的七個頭中，有一個似乎受了致命傷，那傷卻醫好了。全地的人都很驚訝，跟從了那隻獸。他們都拜那條龍，因為牠把自己的權柄給了獸；又拜那隻獸，說：「誰能比這隻獸，誰能與牠交戰呢？」龍又賜給那隻獸說誇大褻瀆話的口，又賜給牠權柄可以任意行事四十二個月。那獸就開口向上帝說褻瀆的話，褻瀆上帝的名和他的帳幕，就是那些住在天上的。牠又被准許與聖徒作戰，並且得勝，也賜給牠權柄，可以制伏各支派、各民族、各語言、各邦國。凡住在地上、名字從創世以來沒有記在被殺羔羊的生命冊上的人都要拜牠。凡有耳朵的都聽吧！該被擄掠的，必被擄掠；該被刀殺的，必被刀殺。在此，聖徒要有耐心和信心。

他說話抵擋至高者，折磨至高者的眾聖者，又改變節期和律法。眾聖者要交在他手中一年、兩年、又半年。

因為上帝使諸王同心執行他的旨意，把他們自己的國交給那隻獸，直等到上帝的話都應驗了。

他要興兵，這兵必褻瀆聖所，就是堡壘，除掉經常獻的祭，設立那施行毀滅的可憎之物。他必用巧言奉承違背聖約的惡人；惟獨認識上帝的子民必剛強行事。民間的智慧人必訓誨許多人，然而在一段日子裏，他們必因刀劍、火燒、擄掠、搶奪而仆倒。他們仆倒的時候，會得到少許援助，卻有許多人用詭詐加入他們。智慧人中有些人仆倒，為要使他們受熬煉，成為潔淨、潔白，直到末了；因為還有一段日子才到所定的時期。「王必任意而行，自高自大，超過所有的神明，又用荒謬的話攻擊萬神之神。他必行事亨通，直到主的憤怒結束，因為所定的事必然實現。

他的判斷又真實又公義；因他判斷了那大淫婦，她用淫行敗壞了世界。上帝為他的僕人伸冤，向淫婦討流僕人血的罪。」

因他們曾流過聖徒與先知的血，現在你給他們血喝，這是他們該受的。」

牠漸壯大，高及諸天萬象，把一些天象和星辰摔落在地，用腳踐踏。

我又看見那女人喝醉了聖徒的血和為耶穌作見證的人的血。我看見她，非常詫異。

我聽見那在河水之上、穿細麻衣的，向天舉起左右手，指着那活到永遠的起誓說：「要到一年、兩年，又半年，粉碎聖民力量結束的時候，這一切的事就要應驗。」

你曾看見的那十個角就是十個王；他們還沒有得到國度，但他們要和那隻獸同得權柄作王一個時辰。他們同心把自己的能力權柄交給那隻獸。
