因此，唯獨剩下我一人看到了這極大的異象；我裡面一點力氣都沒有，我的臉色變得如同死灰，我的力氣也留存不住，但我卻聽見了他說話的聲音；我一聽見他說話的聲音，就臉伏於地沉睡了。看哪，有一隻手碰了我一下，使我用膝蓋和手掌支撐起來！

於是加百列來到我所站的地方。他一來，我就驚惶失措，臉伏於地。他對我說：「人子啊，你當領悟，這異象是關於末後的時期！」

禱告完了，他起身到門徒那裡，看見他們因為憂傷都睡著了，

我但以理為此精疲力竭，病了幾天；然後起來辦理王的事務。我因這異象而驚恐，無法領悟它。

現在我站在這裡受審，是因為盼望神已經賜給我們祖先的那應許。

日落的時候，亞伯蘭陷入沉睡。看哪，有大而恐怖的黑暗落在他身上！

那與我說話的天使回來喚醒了我，我好像從睡眠中被喚醒的人一樣。
