我將興起迦勒底人是乃殘酷暴躁之邦、徧行大地、據非己之居所、彼矜嚴可畏、使威行鞫、悉由於己、其馬疾於豹、猛於暮出之狼、騎兵奔騰、來自遠方、疾飛如急食之鷹、

耶和華曰、敵之至也、有若鷹飛、展翼於摩押、

屍所在、鷙鳥集焉、○

王歟、至上上帝以國位大權、尊榮威嚴、錫爾父尼布甲尼撒、因上帝所賜之大權、諸民諸國、諸方言者、咸戰慄畏懼於其前、生殺升降、隨其所欲、惟其心驕傲、其性剛愎、泰然而行、乃黜其王位、奪其尊榮、被逐離乎人羣、心變如獸、與野驢同居、囓草如牛、身為天露所濡、迨知至上上帝治世人之國、隨意立人主之、伯沙撒歟、爾乃其子、雖知此事、而心不自卑、惟自高而抗天上之主、取其室中之器、至於爾前、爾與大臣后妃、用以飲酒、頌美金銀銅鐵木石之神、即無見無聞無知者、至於掌爾氣息、定爾道途之上帝、則不尊榮之、

敵將如雲而上、車若颶風、馬疾於鷹、禍哉我儕、吾其敗矣、

曰、此非大巴比倫、我以大能大力建為王都、彰我威榮乎、言未竟、自天有聲曰、尼布甲尼撒王歟、有言告爾、國位已離爾矣、爾將被逐、離乎人羣、與野獸同居、囓草如牛、歷至七期、迨爾知至上者治世人之國、隨意畀人、斯言即時驗於尼布甲尼撒、被逐離乎人羣、囓草如牛、身為天露所濡、迨及髮長若鷹毛、甲長若鳥爪、

追襲我者、疾於天鷹兮、逐我於山、伺我於野兮、

彼嗜酒行詐、驕傲而不安居、擴張其欲、恍若陰府、如死亡之無饜、集萬邦、會萬民、使為己有、斯眾豈不以譬詞諷之、以隱語嘲之曰、禍哉其人、聚斂非己之財、擔負典質之重、伊於胡底、剝削爾者、豈不勃興乎、窘迫爾者、豈不亟起乎、爾必為其所虜之物、因爾刦掠多邦、流人之血、行強暴於其地其邑、及凡居於其中者、諸國之遺民、亦必刦掠爾、○獲不義之財、以富其家、營巢於高處、以避凶暴之手、其人禍哉、爾之所謀、翦滅多民、貽羞爾家、自取罪戾、

人子歟、當謂推羅君曰、主耶和華云、爾心驕泰、自謂我為上帝、坐上帝之位於海中、居心同乎上帝、爾仍為人、非上帝也、

其矢既利、其弓悉張、馬蹄如火石、車輪如旋風、其吼若牝獅、其鳴若稚獅、咆哮攫食、曳之而去、莫之能救、

維彼若獅、既出其所、因暴烈之力、及酷烈之怒、其地成為怪異、

耶和華必使遠民、如鷹之飛、來自地極、以攻擊爾、其言爾不之識、

況如蛆之世人、如蟲之人子乎、

掃羅及約拿單、生時相愛相悅、沒時亦弗相離、二人疾於鷹、強於獅、

是時我靈性已復、我仍得威嚴光輝、致國獲榮、我之議士大臣、再朝覲我、我復堅立於國位、威勢增益於我躬、

耶和華曰、是日也、其少者必仆於衢、諸戰士寂然無聲、萬軍之主耶和華曰、狂傲者歟、我為爾敵、爾日已至、即罰爾之時也、狂傲者必躓而顚、無人起之、我必燃火於其諸邑、焚其四周所有、○

耶和華歟、願爾俾其畏懼、諸民自知、祇為世人兮、
