Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

Daniel did a better job than the other two leaders or any of the royal rulers. He was an unusually good and able man. So the king planned to put him in charge of the whole kingdom.

Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.

Daniel soon proved himself more capable than all the other administrators and high officers. Because of Daniel’s great ability, the king made plans to place him over the entire empire.

这都因为在这但以理里面有美好的灵性，有知识，有聪明，能解梦，释谜语，能解答难题；这人尼布甲尼撒王曾给他起名叫伯提沙撒。现在可以把但以理召来，他必能解释墙上文字的意思。”

于是法老对臣仆说：“像这样的人，有神的灵在他里面，我们怎能找得着呢？”法老对约瑟说：“神既然把这事指示了你，就再没有人像你这样有见识有智慧了。你可以掌管我的家，我的人民都要听从你的话；只有在王位上我比你大。”法老又对约瑟说：“你看，我任命你治理埃及全地。”

于是我看出智慧胜过愚昧，如同光明胜过黑暗一样。

我委任我的兄弟哈拿尼和营楼长哈拿尼雅，管理耶路撒冷，因为哈拿尼雅是个可信靠的人，敬畏神胜过许多人。

你见过办事能干的人吗？他必侍立在君王面前，必不会侍立在低微的人面前。

你开始恳求的时候，就有命令发出。因为你是大蒙眷爱的，所以我来告诉你；你要留意这信息，明白这异象。

有知识的约束自己的言语；聪明人心平气和。

不可让慈爱诚实离开你，要系在你的颈项上，刻在你的心版上。这样，你在神和世人眼前，必蒙恩宠，得着美名（“名”原文作“明慧”）。
