The king was overjoyed and gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den. And when Daniel was lifted from the den, no wound was found on him, because he had trusted in his God.

The king was filled with joy. He ordered his servants to lift Daniel out of the den. So they did. They didn’t see any wounds on him. That’s because he had trusted in his God.

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

“ Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted.“ I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”

They cried out to God during the battle, and he answered their prayer because they trusted in him. So the Hagrites and all their allies were defeated.

Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!Then Nebuchadnezzar said,“ Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king’s command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.

Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said,“ Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Jethro was delighted when he heard about all the good things the Lord had done for Israel as he rescued them from the hand of the Egyptians.

The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.

Hearing this, the king was deeply troubled, and he tried to think of a way to save Daniel. He spent the rest of the day looking for a way to get Daniel out of this predicament.

“ What do you mean,‘ If I can’?” Jesus asked.“ Anything is possible if a person believes.”

When Hiram received Solomon’s message, he was very pleased and said,“ Praise the Lord today for giving David a wise son to be king of the great nation of Israel.”

King Hiram sent this letter of reply to Solomon:“ It is because the Lord loves his people that he has made you their king!Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He has given King David a wise son, gifted with skill and understanding, who will build a Temple for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there.When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.

The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions,

Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting. He refused his usual entertainment and couldn’t sleep at all that night.
