You will keep the mind that is dependent on you in perfect peace, for it is trusting in you.

He exclaimed,“ Look! I see four men, not tied, walking around in the fire unharmed; and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

They received help against these enemies because they cried out to God in battle, and the Hagrites and all their allies were handed over to them. He was receptive to their prayer because they trusted in him.

When the satraps, prefects, governors, and the king’s advisers gathered around, they saw that the fire had no effect on the bodies of these men: not a hair of their heads was singed, their robes were unaffected, and there was no smell of fire on them.Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed,“ Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel and rescued his servants who trusted in him. They violated the king’s command and risked their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humanity.It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in nobles.

In the morning they got up early and went out to the wilderness of Tekoa. As they were about to go out, Jehoshaphat stood and said,“ Hear me, Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem. Believe in the LORD your God, and you will be established; believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”

Jethro rejoiced over all the good things the LORD had done for Israel when he rescued them from the power of the Egyptians.

The LORD helps and delivers them; he will deliver them from the wicked and will save them because they take refuge in him.

As soon as the king heard this, he was very displeased; he set his mind on rescuing Daniel and made every effort until sundown to deliver him.

Jesus said to him,“‘ If you can’? Everything is possible for the one who believes.”

When Hiram heard Solomon’s words, he rejoiced greatly and said,“ Blessed be the LORD today! He has given David a wise son to be over this great people!”

Then King Hiram of Tyre wrote a letter and sent it to Solomon: Because the LORD loves his people, he set you over them as king.Hiram also said: Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who made the heavens and the earth! He gave King David a wise son with insight and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a royal palace for himself.

Do not trust in nobles, in a son of man, who cannot save.When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die.Happy is the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea and everything in them. He remains faithful forever,

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are protected.

who by faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions,

Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting. No diversions were brought to him, and he could not sleep.
